Is there a better sports town than Las Vegas?

I cannot say that there is now that the experience of watching sports is optimized for tv. Given the amount of sportsbooks, great sports bars, atmosphere, and when you want to partake the best live events are in LV, I cant imagine a better place for a sports fan to be and to live.

People will downvote you for this, but it’s a legit argument. Especially once the As get there.

stadium swim at circa is an experience

I don't know, man. Now that I have the best sportsbooks in the world on my phone, I would rather go somewhere else.
I agree that the location of the stadiums is pretty cool. But, that's more for opposing fans IMO.

Probably expensive to be a sports fan in Vegas & too touristy

Chicago and New York have one of every sport and two baseball teams apiece, and actual public transit to get to/from them.
Boston?? I mean c'mon.
Pittsburgh is very underrated
I'd say San Francisco if the 49ers weren't over an hour away, but it's 60-70 degrees year round in Oracle Park with that view
Like half the SEC on gameday is a better sports town than Vegas

The sports book at Circa is amazing. You can't beat the booth for an all day bender of football watching. The waitresses are hot and the atmosphere is awesome. Westgate is my second favorite spot.

My counter to that (and your point is fair), is that 1) there are still sizeable amounts of the population without legal mobile betting and then 2) I personally enjoy the atmosphere LV offers more than anywhere. For example, in 2023 I stepped out of a VGK game walked a few steps to a great and active indoor/outdoor sports bar for a few innings of the World Series and then a few more steps to watch the end of the game in an active sports book. I just dont know where else would match those options and atmosphere.

I honestly hate that place. Always way too many try hard douches and insanely priced everything that they're willing to pay. No real appeal as a sports town to me. Like others have said I'd much rather go to an older city where multiple games are going on in a more historic like atmosphere.
Pretty much any sports book the same to me.

The counter to that is youre talking about 6 or 7 home dates a year and for one sport (which is my favorite sport so I hear you), but overall with volume, options, and experiences, Id stick with LV.

This. Other than the MetLife, all the facilities are in neighborhoods where you get a real feel of the city and fans, not just some sterile plastic feel like LV.

Except for the people around there not being real fans... I wouldn't want to possibly be confused for one of them

If you're a gambler possibly.
But if you're like me and have zero interest in betting on games Vegas is little more than a massively overpriced tourist trap.

Vegas is damn confusing to me. When I've gone, I am thrilled to leave. But then I will go months and months dreaming of watching my parlay hit while in a sporsbook there, the cigar smoke of a cocktail longue, or strolling one of the promenades with a $20 big beer.

people don't need vegas to gamble any more. i don't understand what you're trying to say.

I thought I was pretty clear in my prior comments. Was not limited to gambling.

Saw the pictures and had to experience it. Couldn’t wait to watch games all day in the pool and gamble. Booked it.
Then we get there and it’s nothing but loud bass music EDM style. Awful. Never again.
