Better hope he’s back by playoffs or they’ll get left out

I’d think lots of baws moved their money to him for Heisman and are now in the mud

Yep.

He was probably playing the best, overall, in the SEC. Hard so see OU beating Texas and South Carolina (on the road) without him.

I'd say at least a shot he plays vs Texas. That's 2.5 weeks on a 3 week timeline. Just depends on the healing but if he can go at all he will.

I’m not a doctor but I have a hard time imagining thumb surgery on his throwing hand will be fully healed, or at least where he can grip the same, in three weeks.

It won't be healed in 3-4 weeks. It will be lucky to be 100% after 8 weeks. If Mateer plays again this season, he will not throw the ball like he's used to.

Having surgery tomorrow. Can't imagine any timeline he's back in 3 weeks after thumb surgery on his throwing hand.

ESPN reporting it’s a broken bone in his throwing hand. Estimated recovery time is a month.

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that bone breaks typically take 6 weeks to heal.

OU reporters saying he could return for Texas in 18 days. Wouldnt surprise me

Texas cant score so they can easily beat them and should be favored with Hawkins

Ronnie Lott would cut it off so he could play

Yep, Indiana QB Mendoza, Dante Moore, and Beck are the 3 highest odds on most books.
