If we leave their defensive linemen unblocked (like we have done every game so far), it doesn’t matter who we are playing. It is maddening that our line continues to miss blocks bc they don’t know who to block on a given play. I’d rather have lesser talented players that know what to do than a more talented player who has no clue. I realize we have new players at multiple positions on the line this year, but these guys have been on the team for multiple years. This should not be happening as often as it does.

This reply is not towards you StatMaster because I agree. But I wanted to add that they keep saying Ole Miss’s defense is bad but don’t be surprised/mad/disappointed at all when LSU makes the Ole Miss defense look pretty legit. Because you know Ole Miss is going to be fired up and their defense will most likely be playing way over their heads next week along with Sloans pussified play calling. Just hope the defense keeps dominating. This LSU offense hasn’t shown anything at all so far to prove that they can take advantage of a weaker SEC defense.

This worst defense we faced fbs wise by far.
Their weakness is our biggest weakness running the ball. I don’t see this game being close. 30-20 type game

LA Tech’s defense may be better than Ole Miss’s. This offense will have an awakening Saturday

it isn't hard to look good when you basically know every play the offense is running by personnel and alignment. LSU is way beyond predictable. I expect OM defense to be at least as good as Clemson.

Well, LK is as good an offensive mind (maybe better) as Baker is a defensive mind.

So….. it comes down to LSU’s offensive mind vs Ole Miss’s defensive mind. So far, I’m not so sure Sloan wins here.

I’m convinced half of y’all didn’t watch a minute of the game this weekend. I’m not saying we should all be real cocky about how the game in Oxford will play out, but if your level of optimism about our offense wasn’t raised at all this week then you’re just going out of your way to be a miserable person.

I was told that the Ole Miss defense was "elite"....or maybe we just make every defense look that way...

Real talk though, Arkansas put up 500 yds of offense and UK moved the ball with ease against them. I do think LSU has success this weekend against OM

Ole Miss has trouble lining up. If they are able to get that fixed this week then we could very well continue to struggle in the running game. But I expect us to implement a different game plan this week. I expect us to be throwing the ball early and often to start the game to setup the run later in the game.

And I expect us to throw in some tempo as well which with Ole Miss having trouble lining up could play well in our favor to leaving holes for the running back to go through for some explosive plays.

I am more concerned with our first 15 play script. We have struggled the last 3 games in the first drive with our script. If we can get that fixed and start the game on a high note offensively I am confident the defense will be able to get some key stops and we can win the game. Ole Miss is going to score with Lane its just a matter of withering the storm and getting stops late. Which will be easier if they are not playing from behind and having to consistently get stops to get us back in the game.

I'll say this, Nuss looked physically better than he has all year and threw with more zip than he has all year. That gives me some optimism.

3.9 yards per carry with 26 of the yards being an off script run by Nuss, and way too much pressure on several passing plays by Southeastern gives me concerns.

Look, we beat Ole Piss with only 86 rushing yards last year and we have a significantly better defense this year, but we're going to have to score more than 23 or 20 or 17 points to win this one...all I'm saying.

You realize that 30-20 is pretty close right. 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter and they have the ball your butthole is pretty clenched.

I watched the Ole Miss game. If Trinidad Chambliss tries to play that way against us, there will be three picks.

He’s got talent. But he was throwing to wide-open receivers, and he got extremely lucky on a number of throws. His accuracy is a little suspect.

You simply can’t say anything when you are playing Southeastern. And even then we saw several instances where the OL broke down.

Our o line played like they’ve never seen a twist or stunt before.

It’s potentially a very bad problem.

Tech’s defense IS better than Ole Miss lol Idk why people won’t give Tech some props. They have a stellar defense and were top 15 last year

The RT played like he's never seen twist or stunts. Watching hannycast on YouTube SLU was doing the exact same twist/stunt on the left side and they handled it correctly. LSUs biggest weakness is RT. And Caden being impatient trying to cut it back, there were multiple times where he cut it back to the outside and was tackled when he could have waited a .5 second and hit a hole for a better gain. The play or two before nuss' TD, he could've walked in the end zone if he hit the hole the TE and Oline created.
