I Just Saw A Political Ad For John Fleming For U.S. Senate. Is He One of the Good Guys?

I was living in DFW until I recently moved back, so I don't know these people. His ad didn't indicate his party affiliation, so he could even be a Democrat AFAIK.
I see where some of you have mentioned somebody named Julie Letlow.Would she be the best choice to take Cassidy's place?

I want to support him so bad, but his website has zero information on where he stands on the issues. He's expecting us to vote for him based on the simple fact that he's running against Cassidy alone, and for that, he won't get my vote. I'm going to wait for another big name to step in the race and see who/where they stand first.

I haven’t done a whole hell of a lot of research, however, the little I’ve seen of Letlow, she seems like she could easily be manipulated into being a RINO, if not a Murkowskiesque Democrat altogether.
I’ll do a lot more research as the race gets closer. However, right now I am definitely in the ABTTFPFC camp.

You can’t be for real? He was a US congressman for 8 years. His stance and voting history is well documented.

His ad was kind of strange. Something about the government owning certain property, and he even mentioned that it was happening in other countries, too.
I'd have to see it again to really understand what he was talking about. I don't think he was talking about China buying up American land, but maybe I missed it.

Fleming is solid with his biggest drawback being his age. Letlow is maybe less than inspiring but she's been all MAGA as far I know. And with the way southern Senate seats seem to be a near lifetime gig she would be a reliable conservative vote for many, many years to come.

During Trump's first term, Fleming was a WH Deputy Chief of Staff. Prior to that appointment, Trump appoinred Fleming as an Asst Secretary of Commerce. He is MAGA.

I have heard Moon Griffon talk him up a few times. Moon would not do that if he were squishy. I would rather not have a woman, but she would be better than Bell Edwards.

Well "good guys" would have to be relative compared to the rest of D.C. He did have a good voting record as a U.S. Rep, though.
That said, he's 74 years old. I would want him to promise to serve only one term before I vote for him in the initial primary race, because we sure as hell don't need any more 80+ year old frickers in Federal elected office. Way too many already, and they should all have been sent home on their 80th birthday.
