Baws, family. We thank all of you for being here today as we come together to remember the 2025 Astros. And all of you are here today not because the Astros lived their lives perfectly or never did anything wrong. But because they meant something to you.
You know these last few months, a lot of us have experienced a lot of pain as the Astros last weeks played out. You may be haunted by a memory of stranding a lead off double. Or an inning ending double play in a crucial moment. And sure, these are a part of the 2025 Astros story. But instead of being troubled by the struggles, I want you to find joy in the good memories. Sweeping the Dodgers before the illness took hold, our friend Zach Short walking off the Rangers. George Constanza showing up from the trash heap to become the people's ace.
Our time together hasn't been without its trials. We know this. But today as we say goodbye, we burying those trials too. As we wrap up, I want you to find a baw. Say hello. Put your arm around em. Share your favorite memories. Smile because it happened.
So long 2025 Astros, I'd tell you to fly high in the sky. But all of us know that's not the way you'd want it. So to you I say, goodbye friend.... drive yourself into heaven's infield dirt and straight to the arms of St. Peter at short.

TYFYS for the kind words. Heckuva run but this stupid team is getting what it deserves.
Fortunately missed the game last night because was at LSU game. Fittingly gay 8th and 9th innings

Still think they make the playoffs.
Cleveland has to cool off a little this week. Law of averages

And Detroit has been tanking worse than the Astros.
The AL is kinda crappy.

We’ll always have July 4th weekend in LA. Not a total lost season just based on that. Thank you to the likes of Zack Short, Jason Alexander and Zach Cole.
Detroit and Cleveland still have to play each other again, and Detroit ends in Boston. One of those three will be out if the Astros right the ship and take care of business in California next week. Big if.

Don’t forget Cooper Hummel in that Phillies game and Trammell v the Yankees

Just hoping the Twins eating enough of Correa’s deal to make the move doesn’t come back to bite us like every deal outside of Tucker has since Luhnow left
No gainful interest in what’s left of this club the rest of this season. Yed might have made a difference

From 2015 on, the Astros have given me everything that I waited my whole life for. I’m at peace and will be even keeled no matter how this season ends.
That being said, I hope that Costanza shoves it up your living asses for your hubris here.

As long as there's season remaining, there's time for new injuries.

As much as I would like to see every fanbase have its day, and God knows the Mariners are way past due, the way Seattle handled their business downtown during that time of lawlessness a few years ago makes it impossible for me.
But nothing personal with their players otherwise
