If they ran the table? (Big if with at Memphis and this Tulsa squad and other possible speed bumps)? and make the college football playoffs or do they need to be undefeated?

Yeah probably. Boise lost to Oregon last year and got a 1st round bye

I mean it all depends on what the other G5 teams do. It's impossible to answer this question in week 4.

I don’t know if Tulsa is that much of a speed bump. Oklahoma state just blows

Gotta root for the La team but can’t put my money on them with the spread. Tulane has more clout than ole miss but ole miss has more talent and a press offense. Ole miss by 16.

They could get the shite kicked out of them tomorrow and still make the playoff if they run the table. The playoffs have to include at least one G5.

Absolutely. It would probably be a good outcome for Tulane, especially if Ole Miss can beat LSU next week.

I think we'll see a game effort from Tulane. Ole Miss is not good against the run and Tulane can run the ball for days. My feeling is Ole Miss has too much offense and we will see a 34-24 type final.

It's almost funny how LSU and Tulane are still tied at the hip even now, particularly having a common opponent two weeks in a row.

To answer the OP, I think Ole Miss beats them by more than 3. They survive that, but UTSA and Memphis on the road are the games that will make or break their playoff aspirations.

In what way? The only way Tulane makes the playoffs is winning the AAC and being ranked higher than the MWC winner (likely UNLV or Boise). I fail to see where LSU plays a factor in any of that.

The common opponent two week in a row was my immediate reference.

But Ole Miss is definitely the best team Tulane has seen so far, and is almost certainly better than Clemson (and we're next).

Ole Miss is an 8-11 win team. Losing by three in the road to them isn’t disqualifying a top tier G5 program. I would hope you’d understand this?!? This isn’t debatable

I mean I guess. LA Tech played SELU, and LSU plays both of them this year. I wouldn't describe LSU as "tied at the hip" to either of them either for all 3 playing a triangle within the first few weeks. Just more of a funny scheduling coincidence more than anything that we happen to have common opponents. Ole Miss and Tulane have their own thing, I mean they have over 70 meetings between each other so it's not exactly random between them, it doesn't really have anything to do with LSU since we don't play them this year and the outcomes of either of our games don't affect each other.

Tulsa is terrible don't let Oklahoma State fool you. They lost to New Mexico State and got boat raced by Navy. OSU is just that bad and has already quit on Gundy.

They may not win another game after winning 3 last year. Maybe FAU or Temple.

If they beat Ole Miss today their lone defeat will be in the playoff.
