What's your preferred way? Do you run up to the local tire shop and deal w/them... do you order online and then get them done... etc.?

Got some 17" Michelin Crossclimate 2s from Costco.
Ordered online, they barged them up and had them ready in a week. Not bad for JNU

I usually get them from Sam's since I work 5 minutes away.

The one's on my truck i bought off amazon and had them put on at Pep Boys.
When I replaced, wife's, daughter's and son's, I just ordered online from discount tire and had them install.

Discount tire Prairieville = excellent service. Order online, get what you want.

In the past I’d find the best deal online. Get them delivered. Then get them mounted later.
These days, I just go to either my closest shop or Discount Tire. Paying a lil more gets you better warranty and usually some perks.

In the last 15 years are so I have bought all my tires from Thibodaux Tire. Find what I want online and order from them, always the cheapest around and quick service. If you like to waste money you can go to Chabills.

I find what I want based on wants and reviews. Call discount tire and set up an appt to get them put on. They also match cheaper online prices. Easy as it sounds. DT rules.

That's what I was thinking. They're 5min from my house. Not sure on Chabill's tire prices but that's who serves our vehicles.

Usually when my vehicle needs new tires, “Blondie” is usually bored with it, so I trade it…

Most independent, local shops will match pricing. Try to support your local guys.

I’ve used Discount Tire for years due to their service and road hazard warranty.
They’ve replaced a few tires for me free, no questions asked.

My last set I waited until eBay sent out a 15% off email and used it on a set of four unmounted, when they showed up I took them to the local shop and had them put on. Just have to do your homework and make sure the seller is a legit shop and they aren’t knockoffs.

Last set came from Sam's. Had a similar problem that I had with same tires from a local shop - who warranted them - and the tech's response at sam's was "nah, you gotta go to a REAL tire shop to deal with this."
4 most important things on a vehicle when it comes to safety. I'll pay extra not to deal with yo-yos from here on out. Local shop only.

Local tire shop.
Build a relationship and get a discount if you pay cash, rotating is free and repairs are free.

Got a new local shop I'm going to for oil changes, and some other small things so far. Got a screw in one tire, bought before them, they plugged it up (I know I know patched) for free right quick. I'll definitely go to them for my next new set.

I hate buying tires. I really do.
However, I search multiple places to check prices. I call the place with the best deal to make sure they have them. Then I go to the place to purchase them/have them installed.

I go to discount their prices are as low as anything you find online. The service is excellent.
I buy online, schedule online, and am in and out in less than an hour.
They also rotate and balance for free which can also be scheduled in advance online.

I have used them all. Sam's, Costco, local, Discount tire, Tire rack, Tirebuyer. Just shop around for the tire you want, it isn't rocket surgery. If you live near a Discount Tire they are usually hard to beat. I no longer live near one. The last set I bought were from the tire rack because I had a targeted offer for 30% back through Capital one, I just brought them to the shop down the street to get them put on.
