I know we have a game to play this weekend before we get to Ole Miss but what a great matchup that will be to watch.
Can’t wait to see what our defense brings against Kiffin’s offense

I would like to shutout Southeastern and hold OM to 10 pts.
But then, I like defense.

Just walk, or bus, out of Oxford as 5-0 LSU.... and the score really doesn't matter.

He was able to hold kiffin to 23 last year with significantly less talent. It’ll be fun to see how he does against him this year with more talent across the board

Agreed, but…. Holding Lane to 2 scores would be amazing. And his head would explode.

Look at it this way ole miss got worse on Offense and defense.. LSU got 100x better on defense and a tick down on offense and LSU won last season.
I take the Tigers for the win
It will be a 2:30 game

Apparently they found a gem from the portal, and benched Simmons for him
He had a great game vs Arky, not sure if the piggies defense is bad or not
should be interesting to see Chambliss vs. this defense

Did Missouri play Ole Miss in year 2+ of Baker’s defense?

Well since Kiffen admitted on national tv he makes coaching decisions based on point spreads and total points I’m not sure if his motive will be to win.

Baker did pretty well last year in this matchup with IMHO, significantly lesser talent.

Kiffin is an innovative offensive mind, but without someone like Saban to rein him in has a tendency to do stupid things. I haven’t seen anything like that from Baker, so if the question is Kiffin vs Baker I’ll take Baker.
Kiffin is the kind of coach who may blow you out, but he’s also good for doing a couple of boneheaded things in each game. No matter the talent disparity, you always have a chance playing a Lane Kiffin coached team.

We need to prep for their backup. Simmons is not scary but the backup can move move.
It’ll be a fun one

They didn’t bench Simmons. He’s injured. But the backup definitely gave Arkansas problems. It will be interesting to see which qb plays against Tulane this week.

We better be disciplined or their qb gonna run for 150. You know kiffen is gonna gp his qb. He knows where to attack zones based on how we cover in the secondary in 1st 3 games
In the end, if Baker has the qb running for his life, we should be okay

OM Tulane should be more interesting than us and SE.

LSU will need to score more than 20 points or 23 points to beat OM. Kiffin is an offensive genius. Better than Sloan for sure. @ OM this is a game we could lose if our offense does not start clicking.

I think we go 45-0 this weekend finally getting a few 1st half explosives and get a 27-17 win in Oxford. People will be reminded who Nuss is now that we're finally playing some bad defenses.

Kiffin has only won 1 game in his Ole Miss tenure scoring less than 22 points and that was the Miss St game the year after Leach died (17-7). Kiffin can win track meet games or by blowing teams out but he really doesn't fare well in games that turn into defensive battles.
If they don't score a bunch of points they pretty much always lose. That's my biggest gripe with Kiffin as a coach, they have to win a certain way and if the game doesn't go that particular way and he gets out of his comfort zone, they fold. Contrast that with someone like Kirby Smart, who's a defensive coach at heart, can still win shootout games (Ohio St playoff game, Tennessee this past weekend). His teams don't always fold if the opponent scores more points than he's comfortable giving up as a defensive coach.
I like our chances with this defense, the only thing that worries me is it being on the road
