Don't watch this if you still have hope for LSU making the playoffs this season. This man is really good at breaking down film. I don't see how our coaches and analysts can be much better at analyzing film. (But I hope they can.) This one is depressing to the point that I don't see how we - particularly the offensive line - can improve enough for this team to win 10 games. "It truly is an atrocity of an offensive line. It really, really, really really is that bad." - Carter at 46:10.

You can talk about how Clemson or Florida really aren’t that good of a team, but they do have elite DL & a tough defense.

Who else do we play that has that?
Bama? OU?
I’ll tell you who doesn’t - Ole Miss, SC, A&M

I don't know who you're referring to, but if he were as good as you think he is, he'd work for a team and wouldn't be putting videos on YouTube.

The improvement will come when Nuss heals. Other than Weston Davis, the other 4 OL have well above average pass blocking grades. When Nuss heals, we will be able to throw again and with THIS defense, it'll be enough.

He is right that there is little to no hope that they become godd run blockers.

Carter is great and I enjoy his videos but this is one of the most ridiculous statement ever written. Our coaches have forgotten more football than Carter knows. He's going slightly deeper than a serious fan would go but he's not even getting as in depth than a JH coach would.

I'll repeat, Cater is great. I really really like his videos but he's not even in the same universe as guys that have been coaching a long time.

The offensive line has had issues but a lot of it can be corrected in terms of technique and miss assignments. The physicality or lack thereof is not really something that can be fixed this season but give me a more solid assignment based offensive line and we will have success.

Go look at that last run against UF when we were in a power I formation. THAT OL was NASTY. That showed me that its a scheme issue more than anything for the OL. If you ask them to punish the guy infront og them, they do it well (at least on that play). Its the zone blocking they are having trouble with.

Agreed. OP wants to jerk off the dipshit who is breaking down college film on youtube.

You can coach technique and scheme. LSU has the dogs on the offense it just needs to come together.

Do yall even remember the 2014 defense for example?

I like Carter and PH I'm even subscribed to him. His Count Chocula laugh used to annoy me but it doesn't bother me anymore. That said I wish he wouldn't spend so much time continually stopping one play.

To be fair they have struggled in gap scheme runs, DUO/inside zone, and outside zone scheme. They just need to get to their assignment instead of trying to help out. Get to the second level and don't worry about the reach block.

If we went to 11 and 12 personnel under center and ran inside/outside zone and then utilized a better play action game that would be awesome but there is not a guarantee that the offensive line is going to be able to figure it out and become a very effective running team. We need more explosive plays which really boils down to better route concepts and less individual routes and more synchornized route concepts with both in-breaking routes and outside-breaking routes.

Exactly. CTP is not super knowledgeable. He is on the high side for a fan; that’s it. He only breaks down about six or eight plays per game, and he spends about five minutes on each play, but there is only about 30 seconds of actual content.

Good NIGHT alive one of the most pathetic posts I've seen. Carter puts out good content and is worth watching but he is not a film breakdown savant. They have guys on the support staff with more understanding than him. He tells you up front he's not on the staff.
