Social media was claiming racial violence and that he had broken limbs.

Law enforcement and the school call bullshite. It was a suicde.

Cue Crump and Sharpton to try and stir things up and make a few bucks.

quote:

Delta State University staff found the body of Demartravion “Trey” Reed, a 21-year-old student, hanging from a tree in the middle of campus on Monday morning. His death set off a wave of mourning across the university and prompted the cancellation of centennial events for the 100-year-old institution.

Delta State University Police held a press event Monday afternoon, announcing that no foul play is currently suspected in Reed’s death and no threat to campus exists...

Bolivar County Deputy Coroner Murray Roark told the Mississippi Free Press in a Sep. 15 interview that he assisted his colleague, Deputy Coroner Dwayne Proctor, in examining Reed’s body. Contrary to rumors on social media, Roark said he saw no evidence of broken arms or legs.

It was a suicide

It’s tragic, but he killed himself.

Shame on those people using this young man’s death to fuel a hate narrative.

RIP.

I am sure we will hear about this one as some racist folklore in a few years.

As someone touched by suicide far too many times in my life, I feel qualified to say that it is NEVER the answer.

There is always hope and a future, for those who choose to seek it.

Even with all the crazy shite happening right now where I should be desensitized, I see his face and feel a great sadness.

Every time a black person kills themselves, they claim it was racial.

I guess they think only whitey does that.

All b/s aside, this is terrible. So young with so much potential for a future. Awful news.

All the left wing BS aside, I feel terrible that this young man threw away the life that God had given him.

Yep. The entire incident is 100% on video. Tragic suicide. It was the 100th anniversary of DSU's founding and all events to celebrate were canceled.

Beware anyone trying to stir anything else up.

I’m sure the left will use this to pad their stats of “right wing violence”.

Did yall know they count skinhead violence inside prisons towards their “right wing violence” stats but they don’t count black on black in-prison violence in the left wing violence?

I had a.close friend commit suicide. He had 2 kids that he was fairly close with. I sometimes have bad thoughts. When I think of him, thoughts like this pop into my head.
"Well, I'm not going to spend my time mourning you. You didn't want to be here so you took yourself out instead of trying to get some help (he suffered from major anxiety). You willingly abandoned your kids. I'm not gonna waste my time missing you. You didn'twant to be here. I'm going on with life".
Then I feel bad for having thoughts like that.

People dont kill themselves because they just give up. Sometimes they do, but not always. Just like dimentia, alzheimers, etc etc... the brain gets sick... and it loses its ability and desire to live.

The brain is a fascinating thing. Meditation is more beneficial than some pharmaceutical drugs, when it comes to treating actual physical diseases. We do not yet fully understand the brain, but suicide should not be viewed as someone with a healthy brain making a poor decision. It's more than that at times.

This suicide will gain greater national attention than a career criminal murdering an innocent "white bitch" (his words, not mine) on a bus while passengers did absolutely nothing...

Normally I would defer to the “case closed” narrative.

But when you consider African American males hardly ever commit suicide (compared to Asian/White males) it is a little more suspect.

Not much to go over. If he killed himself that’s tragic and sad but ultimately a decision he made. I’m not jumping to any other conclusions until further evidence is presented
