I give you a break in the offense sucks discussion to complain about something else. Also of note: this is a pretty small thing and my broken Tiger loving brain will show up every week and stay until the clock hits 0 in a lawn chair in a parking lot if necessary

That said, stadium atmosphere was very solid. I thought it was pretty loud when it needed to be. Concession lines, service, prices, and options continue to suck but I’ve bitched about that for years and have just accepted it won’t get better.

That said, Who tf is running the video board operations? The stats being shown on the board were still showing stats from the LA Tech game for the 10+ min of the first quarter. A few drives in, the board showed us as having over 300 yards of offense, 27 first downs, etc

Pretty minor complaint here but if you’re not going to have reliable wifi in the stadium and you’re going to have a giant video board with half being taken up by ads, at least hit the damn reset button before every game and have some accurate stats up there.

I noticed that too. Complete amateur hour there.

I’ve tried to give the video board operator the benefit of the doubt in the past, but that’s pretty much indefensible.

They also do not show in-stadium reply’s on reviews (they did once out if 3 replays, and it looked like it was being g streamed form a desktop only taking up 50% of the screen). Meanwhile those at home get to see all the review replays & details.

I feel like the lack of penalty/review replays was intentional since they put glowing projectiles in all the seats before the game. Didn’t want to risk an incident like the infamous PI call at Texas last year

This is mind blowing to me. It has been like this for at least 5 years. How tf have we not figured this out?

Also I just laugh at the attempt to do in-game updates. They are consistently like a quarter behind. And the games they choose, i need to be inside that discussion. They showed Kentucky-Eastern Michigan highlights instead of a 2nd update on the ND-A&M game. I can only imagine there are like 3 absolute degenerates in Tiger Stadium begging for an update on the Kentucky-EMU game.

I’d like each board to have a built in decibel meter —- I saw it at the Tenn/UGA game. People yell louder trying to get that number higher

Whoever is responsible for showing replays needs to be cut off the whiskey at least two hrs before kickoff- I’ve been to both games and there has not been ONCE where there was a look at any play where we wanted to see the replay-was it targeting?, did he step out of bounds, did he get a good spot, where was the hold, or block in the back, etc etc…

It’s like they avoid any possible controversy by intentionally avoiding anything we might BOO or something???

That’s the part that gets me - with how much money and how many people are involved in the operation that is hosting an LSU football game, this is like the free space on bingo card. Food & beverage and other things revolving around the game are admittedly complex (not an excuse for the poorly run concessions).. but not resetting the stats from the previous weekend until a quarter of the way through the next game is pathetic.

Again, if service is going to be terrible to where you can’t keep up on phone, I’d like to look at the board and see what the individual and team stats are. Just a minor but super simple thing that LSU finds a way to frick up

Every time you would look up at the board between series, all they would show is punting or kickoff return stats. Frick, just scroll all the stats.

Echoing everything said here. Finding stats was a pain, replays were missing, and the game highlights they chose to show were atrocious. Combined with the still awful PA system, it could be hard to get info.

They didn't show replays vs. La. Tech. They avoided controversial replays vs. Florida. For example, there was no replay of the targeting call on Weeks. The only replay they showed (IIRC) was one where the Florida WR might have been out of bounds on a catch, but it was pretty clear he wasn't. I think that's why they showed that replay.

But you are 100% right. The dumbass referees in the Georgia v. Texas game are to blame. They allowed the crowd throwing stuff on the field in protest to influence them to overturn a call that wasn't reviewable. Thus, incentivizing every other fanbase to throw things on the field in protest of a bad call. There is no doubt in my mind that's why you don't see video review replays in the stadium anymore...or at least those deemed potentially controversial

It always pisses me off when the tech issues are screwed up. Especially game/play clock malfunctions. It LITERALLY only has to work for 4 hours, 7-8 days of the entire year. How are you not troubleshooting the hell out of the tech to ensure it works the minimal amount of time it's required to work?

Do they still broadcast the raw feed from the radio without delay inside the stadium? If so does anyone remember the frequency? I might turn into an old timer and bring in a radio.

ETA: or is the only option now 98.1 with the slight delay?

But they never really show replays in the stadium no matter which game it is. Its been like this for years. And when they do show a replay it's from a field level camera in the endzone, so you're watching the play either coming towards you or going away from you.
