1st game against Clemson, Sloan called a great game against one of if not the best d-lines in the country with two projected 1st round picks. He protected a newly just put together o-line with short intermediate passes and a surprisingly effective running game, he didn't want their d-line wrecking the game. 2nd game, reason not excuses, the entire off-season was focused on going 1-0 and they did exactly that, now they went up against an inferior opponent sandwiched Clemson and Florida, getting the energy levels up for this one was extremely challenging, everybody played in deep sand. Now against Florida with basically the same game plan he had against Clemson and can anybody blame him? Do any of you remember the devastating destruction Florida d-line did to us last year? Sloan was not going to let that happen again and he called a great game compared to last year. Joe and Cortez has done a pretty good job so far, now if the offense still look the same after these next two weeks than you'll have something to bitch about, but not these last three weeks.

Im starting to believe we shouldn't be blaming Sloan. I think Kelly has a huge hand in this.

Because we have a cast of highly talented WRs and RBs and we are getting production out of a fraction of them

That "vaunted" DL has allowed the same production by both Troy and Georgia Tech too.

Clemson just lost to Georgia Tech. Florida lost to South Florida last week. Both are now 1-2 on the season. Both GT and SF offenses scored more points than ours. I'll take the W's but I expected our offense to look way better than this.

production, or lack thereof.

I understand we have a weak OL.

But the play designs and overall strategy assumes we will always have to get the ball out quick (super quick) and that's a bad assumption because Nuss has handled pressure "well" (as opposed to great).

Not reading that he is a poor player caller

Because he’s shite at his job. Can’t get the offense in rhythm, takes too long to call plays, offense can’t execute simple concepts without missing assignments, way too many penalties, not on the same page with his 5th year senior QB, horrible spacing on passing concepts, too many cute wide receiver runs, and weak running game.

Because he sucks? I mean this is essentially the exact same thing that we saw on offense last year, but he just added a few quick screens and jet sweeps into the mix.

We have a large enough sample size on him to know that he is what he is at this point.

I'm not asking this offense to be as productive as 2023 was but we need to show signs of having a pulse and not be in the bottom half of every offensive category.

I understand the players also need to execute when a good play is called, but I find Sloan gets far too predictable in his play calling.

He very well may turn out to be great and I will sit here and say I was wrong. I just hope they get into a rhythm and figure it out before Ole Miss comes calling, and it will be on Kelly if he wastes generational talent again albeit on the other side of the ball.

The issue with Sloan is short yardage and red zone offense. This was a problem last year, and does not seem to have improved. Outside of the opponent's twenty and on early downs, he seems pretty money. Kelly needs to step up and basically co-OC to make up for these deficiencies.

I can understand BK's frustration.

Our quarterback is playing through multiple injuries and we have a new offensive line.

Despite that, we've did enough to be 3-0 yet all the armchair coaches can do is complain.

Didn't Kelly basically admit that is what is going during his press conference today?

Did I hear right, or were there zero sacks on Saturday? That’s says a lot about where the focus has been. It just hasn’t translated to points

Cause we would be better than a 3-0 team if we had a better offense

It will at some point. I'm optimistic we found something out about running the ball with the QB under center

I still think Sloan isn’t that good but he would be way better if Kelly would stop stepping on his dick and give Sloan more freedom.

Kelly is pissed and lashing out because he knows the offensive struggles is in large part his fault

All season LSU fans wanted to fire the Batting and Pitching Coach for baseball. You just have to know that they are not happy unless LSU fires someone.

Because this site is an echo chamber. Sloan has done a satisfactory job. Brad Davis on the other hand? Not so much. Sloan is hamstrung by this line. Only so much he can do. He does need to get a little more creative with the run game. The scheme we have now is not working.
