quote:
Kathy Hochul just denied Israel’s right to exist, legalized prostitution, voted to throw open the jails and defund the NYPD, and said New York should be a socialist city.
By endorsing Zohran Mamdani for mayor, the governor has backed all this and more, embracing an antisemitic radical in a stunning act of political cowardice.
Oh, she claims in a mealy-mouthed New York Times op-ed that she has had “frank conversations” with Mamdani. She says we “discussed the need to combat the rise of antisemitism urgently and unequivocally.”
quote:
Same with quality of life. “I emphasized to him my belief in keeping and attracting businesses so that New York remains the center of the global economy,” Hochul writes. She does not say what Mamdani answered. Perhaps because Mamdani doesn’t believe in capitalism and doesn’t care if New York remains the center of the global economy?
quote:
So why, after months of criticism, is Kathy Hochul becoming a fellow traveler?
Because she’s terrified of the far-left, and worries what will happen to her poll numbers if Mamdani is elected.
Hochul shames herself in the endorsement, writing, “Public life is an extraordinary privilege. It should never be about power for its own sake, but rather always about making the lives of others better.”
Yet that’s exactly what she’s doing here. In the past few months, she has claimed to disagree with Mamdani on almost every major issue, yet now decides to betray the people of New York for her own career.

This bitch would eat a shite sandwich to remain relevant in NY politics.

The histrionics against Mamdani make him more appealing. You think the Mayor of New York can threaten Israel's right to exist?
I would never vote for a socialist...but I don't begrudge other Americans their choice. It will be interesting to see if his policies work for the people who elect him.
Hopefully, it means that droves of Fortune 500 companies relocate to the South.

No way on Earth i could EVER vote for a woman that looked like that....take a good look and realize that "men" in New York vote for her to run their lives. My God

With communists, expect communism.

I cannot believe NY will be run by a damn communists! Especially after so many locals left after the damn WOKE BS. Sad day for NY if that happens.

The people that left are the reason this is happening. If they had stayed in New York Mamdani wouldn’t have a chance

They are no more required to stay in New York than white people are required to stay when animals move into their neighborhoods.

None of us know what he will do. I don't see any evidence that he's a communist.
This is what makes our system great. If his policies fail, that's democracy in action. Don't vote for failure again.
