Their home page has a bunch of google reviews. Not typically something I see from high end watch companies.

Looks like they are filled with Japanese movements. Just buy a Seiko. It will be a better watch.

Junk, just like MVMT and a number of other companies that promise "discount luxury". Cheap Chinese/SEA watches that are just like every other fly-by-night microbrand, for $500 you could get much better from an established company that won't disappear in a few years.

Looks like a boutique watch. If you like it buy it. If you don't there are probably better watches anyway

Those actually look good.

Was expecting leather bands so that was a nice surprise seeing metal

I saw a picture of a Patek Philippe once. That's as close as I'm getting to one.

ChatGPT says Panzera is a Tier 3 watch. Here how the tiers fall out:

quote:

Tier 1: Full In-House (True Manufactures)

These brands design, engineer, and manufacture their own movements (and often cases, dials, bracelets).

Rolex

Patek Philippe

Audemars Piguet

Jaeger-LeCoultre (nicknamed “the watchmaker’s watchmaker” because they’ve supplied others too)

Grand Seiko (part of Seiko, Japan)

Citizen (high-end, e.g. The Citizen, Campanola)

Glashütte Original, A. Lange & Söhne (Germany)

Omega (part of Swatch Group, makes Co-Axial in-house calibers)

quote:

Tier 2: Mostly In-House, Some Outsourcing

Brands that produce many of their own calibers but may still use third-party movements for entry-level lines.

IWC (mix of in-house and outsourced)

Breitling (some in-house, some Sellita/ETA)

Panerai (in-house calibers in higher models, Sellita/ETA in lower ones)

Zenith (famous for the El Primero chronograph, but also uses group synergies)

TAG Heuer (some in-house like the Heuer 02, but lots of Sellita/ETA too)

quote:

Tier 3: Branded but Supplier-Powered

Brands that mostly buy movements (ETA, Sellita, Soprod, Miyota) but design cases, dials, and branding in-house.

Longines (ETA, but with exclusive calibers since it’s in Swatch Group)

Tissot, Hamilton, Certina (all Swatch Group, ETA-powered)

Oris (mostly Sellita, but developing more in-house calibers lately)

Raymond Weil (ETA/Sellita)

Christopher Ward (Sellita, with some in-house development)

quote:

Tier 4: Fashion & Microbrands

Primarily design-focused; rely on third-party suppliers (Japan, China, or Swiss) for movements.

Fossil, Michael Kors, Armani Exchange, Guess, Diesel (quartz movements, often Miyota or Seiko)

MVMT, Daniel Wellington, Vincero, Filippo Loreti (quartz, off-the-shelf, heavy marketing)

Countless microbrands (e.g., Baltic, Halios, Zelos) often use Seiko NH35, Miyota 9xxx, or Sellita SW200.

I just looked at their site they have a dive watch (AQUAMARINE 45G) GMT listed for $1287. It has a NH34A movement which is a Seiko Instruments/TMI movement that I have bought for under $50. While a workhorse movement they don't "belong" in a 4 figure watch. It does look like you can get 30% off but it is still $900.

While I think it is overpriced by 2-2.5 times if you like it the movement is solid. Keep in mind it is very likely every part besides the movement was made and assembled in China except for the movement. Made in the same type of factory that makes the watches on Aliexpress for $200-400 with the exact same movement.

The only watch I allow to touch my wrist is one that does something other than just tell the damn time--Apple Watch Ultra.

You can create a brand and find a Chinese outfit to build you any watch you want from their catalog. They'll build as many as you want. How do you think companies like Deep Blue got started.

If you want a Seiko movement in a watch, get a Seiko

I am not a fan of smart watches. Its just too much going on and it lacks style.
