I have felt at peace at work today. I refuse to watch any of these people celebrating on X, Bluesky or whatever.
To me the sad thing is the way Mr. Kirk died. His wife has to deal with that, his kids will ask about it in coming months and years.
That is the part that makes me grimace.

Ignoring them doesn’t help things. They need to be publicly shamed and called out and face the repercussions which would be dead businesses or being fired.

I'm done ignoring them.
A friend of mine texted me this morning. Security was at the door and escorted one of these idiots to his office to clean it out. No warning, no phone call. HR met him at the door and said you have been terminated, please go to your office and retrieve your belongings.
Apparently he said something along the lines of Good riddance to someone at work yesterday.

I have not personally heard anybody say anything joking or negative about Kirk's death today. Most sane people who have college degrees and are employed seem to be appalled by it.
