That's what he is good at. Getting production from backups

Wish we could get a mulligan - make Allen the highest paid dc in nfl and hire a different HC when Payton left

Dennis Allen is a great defensive coordinator.

Dennis Allen is one of the worst head coaches in the history of the NFL.

Dennis Allen’s firing happened one year too late. I’m glad he’s gone.

When he was fired last year we lost our best football coach.

He’s better than anyone we have on staff right now as well.

He just was a poor head coach.

He is a good DC, he is a below average DC when facing a mobile qb. Bears fans will find out soon

He should have never been given the HC job, he don't have HC attributes but he's a hell of a DC

this is McCarthy's first start also in the NFL for Minnesota.

DA is a solid DC.

just not head coaching material.

He’s top half of the league for sure.

I think we’ve only got a couple / few players who we can say that about at their position.

He is an excellent defensive coach. He just doesn’t have the personality to be a head coach.

He’s not that good a dc. His teams consistently choke

This. Defense will start the game perfect and eventually taper off. The amount of games this fricker choked away for us makes my blood boil. I’m glad we didn’t retain him

Praised him too soon. Bears defense starting to leak down the stretch. The classic DA 4ty quarter fade.

We got to see why Sewell has been a backup on that td pass. He plays hard and has a nose for the ball, but he is too slow to play effectively.

DA doing what DA does best in the 4th quarter.

Enjoy him Chicago!

Ha. The look on his (DA) face when McCarthy ran for that TD! Awesome.

Last drive of the half/towards the end of the game and any 3rd and longs. Glad he is someone else's problem.

He could develop secondary talent, but his actual play calling sucks in the most important situations. The Minnesota Miracle never happens if we don't line up in the stupidest prevent defense I have ever seen.
