you run your quarterback, you better have two, and I've always believed that .... even do that with JJ. JJ wanted to run every game and I was like, no, no, you're gonna get hit, you're gonna get hurt, something.
What a cowardly mindset.

Paying $12mil for the next Cam Newton and then telling him not to run is certainly a choice

How he got the head coaching job permanently is beyond me. He led the team for a few weeks using a dummy proof plan left by Harbaugh. That’s it

I just don’t think it’s a good team. They play at Nebraska and at USC two of the next three weeks.
Should be 2-3
Should be 2-3

He just got beat by a QB that ran the ball 19 times with two rushing TD's.
From what I could tell they didn't let Underwood throw more than 10 yards and didn't let him run it. So why bother paying him so much?

Well, that's one way to ruin a dual-threat QB.

They will sacrifice and take losses as a decoy and will run the shite out of him against tOSU. No matter how many OOC losses they have Michigan only plays a few good conf games and if they beat tOSU it usually means conf title game. If they win conf title game thats playoffs. OU and USC are losses they can take. Most B10 teams they can win without him running. They are saving for their one big game.

Are they telling him not to run at all or just no designed runs? Pretty big difference.

If you watched the SNF game last night, you should know how valuable a QB who also is a threat to run.

Well, Daniels did get hurt in two big games.

Underwood likely cost himself millions in the long term by choosing to go to Michigan over LSU.

The ENTIRE quote adds a bit of context:
“We will [run Underwood] at some point,” Moore said. “But you run your quarterback, you better have two [of them]. And I’ve always believed that. We even did that with JJ [McCarthy]. JJ wanted to run every game. And I was like, ‘No, you’re gonna get hit, you’re gonna get hurt.’ I think there are parts of that we tried to do in [at Oklahoma], they just were pretty good at not letting us, because they didn’t want him to run. And I think there are ways we can get him to run in different ways and make sure he’s protected. So we’ll work that as we go game by game and have a strategy for that.”
