How long will Michigan put up with Sherrone Moore?

They were really bad last year, but the season was saved by beating Ohio State. After last night's loss to OU, he's now 9-6 as head coach. And they just look poorly coached.
The schedule isn't too daunting but if he loses another 5 games this year, does Michigan use the scandal as an excuse to move on?

I feel like Nebraska, Wisconsin, USC, Washington, and even MSU are coin flips, OSU is a loss. 7-5, 6-6 wouldn't be shocking. I personally would give him next year, even with that, as I think the recruiting class is good.

Basically depends on what Ellison’s secret wife wants
Looks like late stage David Shaw at this point. The offense is from about 2005 with no adaptation to having an elite talent at QB.

UM lost what 13 guys to the NFL after the championship?
They didn’t have a roster to sustain elite play or a functional QB last year.
The other factor I’ll point out is they just played their second hardest game of the season. OU with Mateer is a CFP team with an elite defense on the road at night with a freshman QB. That was a tough ask.
I don’t think Brown is a good coach, but based on that schedule even with the loss that’s an 8-9 win team IMO.

It was such a lazy hire. Blue blood school coming off a natty and they promote a guy from within who was OC for a year.
It was like the Cowboys and Schottenheimer. They promoted a guy that wouldn’t have been in demand by many other programs.

Unless they completely collapse this year (like 3-4 wins), he’ll get another season. Not many teams go 7-5 and then start a true freshman QB the next year and improve.

Which is a terrible reason to keep a coach especially after winning it all and losing a ton of talent to the nfl. This is what happens

Their offense is amazingly bad. They miraculously won 2-3 games last year despite putrid offense in those games.

worked out well for Missouri, and Barry Odom.
players made it known, Odom was their head coach, and AD hired him.
rest is history, especially if the guy is a former player.

It was most of the team. Even the players heading to the pros were pushing for him. Its likely the players liked him more than Harbaugh, as we know Harbaugh can be difficult. But being more liked doesn't make you the better head coach.

This season doesn't really matter for them with the sanctions, suspensions, and drama, but next season their expectations will be playoffs or bust.
