I really admire Mansoor Delane’s maturity.

I went to the game against Clemson, and the dude is a pro he’s all about business. When he’s not on the field, he’s either stretching or talking to Coach Raymond.
I just watched his interview from yesterday, and he mentioned that he and the other DBs get together to watch film on their own, without the coaches. I didn’t hear anything like that last year that’s real leadership. I love that the younger guys get to see how he carries himself.

He was the best db on the field last Sat.

He needs to tell his little brother to transfer to LSU once he’s drafted in the 1st round

It seems to mean more to the guys that come from smaller schools. VT is a good school and program but LSU is a step up from that.

I’m not disagreeing but I think it’s hysterical half the board (myself included) were wondering where the hell Pickett was the whole time. Then you watch the highlights and they tried him one time and it was useless so they just didn’t bother again. This is an exceptional secondary group

Yes I think he has stolen that title from Mr Irrelevant Norman LeJeune

VT ain't a smaller school no matter how you try to define it.
He's from Maryland and VT has traditionally been one of the better football programs in that area. But, yeah they have definitely nose dived after Beamer and Fuentes flamed out.
He and Braylin Moore are godsends.

That you seen anyway. I’m not disagreeing with you at all but Pickett was out there quite a bit and you never seen a ball thrown in his direction except maybe once or twice because he had that shite shut down on the other side.
What I’m trying to say is that by mid season at the latest, LSU could have two of the best CBs in the country if Pickett continues to look like that along with how good we already know Delane is.
Also I’d like to give a huge thank you to the University of Virginia Tech for lending us one of the best CBs in the country………. And Center

That backend we saw Saturday is the lsu secondary we’re use to seeing. Lockdown man to man coverage the bored. No disrespect to the kids but it Was hard these last couple years having to watch corners from Syracuse start in the secondary. Massive credit to Raymond for getting the db room back to its standard. Pickett , woodland and Delane is as good as any trio in the country

Imagine how many guys LSU has had that would have realized their fullest potential had they have the intangibles that Delane has (workouts / study / focus / accountability) to match with their athletic ability

And you got a dog in Pj woodland. This backend isn’t playing around

Our first look at these dbs mentioned and linebackers Weeks and Perkins was a thing of beauty.

Pickett had 1 pass attempt on him in 25 snaps, and zero completions allowed. Had Clubnik not been getting his shite pushed in during that pass attempt DJ Pickett likely makes a pick 6 after jumping the route. Pickett absolutely blanketed his reciever all night long, there literally wasn't a single pass available at any point on the reciever Pickett was covering, in man or zone.
