Dimitroff spent 3-plus years as SumerSports CEO before leaving the company in April, and was with New Orleans thru camp.

He'll help GM Mickey Loomis in all facets. Team will announce the hire soon.

Is that the guy who built their super bowl roster?

Yeah he was very highly regarded for a while there. Pretty sure he saw the aggressive move to get Julio jones amongst others.

Honestly had built a great roster. That Super Bowl loss was just a snowball from hell for them that the regime never recovered from.

Yes, he also drafted Matt Ryan & made the big trade for Julio. His demise was tied to Dan Quinn

Front office may suck, but we’ve got the best hair in the league.

People may shite on it because it all fell apart after the SB but it wasn’t entirely on him. They had a shitload of talent at one point and that’s the majority of his job. Word is he was also the one that went after Kyle Shanahan as OC or at least put him on Quinn’s radar

He could flame out. He could also be another Jeff Ireland, a guy that deserved another shot and could be potentially useful for talent evaluation

I mean he wasn’t that bad he built competitive teams.

Loomis is so bad I’d like to fire him immediately and hire dimitroff or jeff ireland.

The Falcons should fire their current GM and hire him back. There best days were with him as the GM

The Saints need to hire the Ohio State Mark Pantoni. With the Transfer portal and NIL, the college gms are no different than NFL gms. Not a big fan of OSU, but they have been talented on the field.

The people hating on this are retards. I’d like for someone to explain to me how this dude sucks?

In his first year with the falcons who were coming off one of the worst teams in recent memory, Vick was in prison, he drafted Ryan, signed Michael Turner and they make the playoffs with Mike Snith his first year.

In 2009 going into the 2010 draft he traded for Tony Gonzales and they go 13-3.

He gives up a haul for Julio Jones.

He made the playoffs consistently and made it to a Super Bowl they had no business losing and Kyle Shanahan blows that game.

Did he deserve to get fired? Yeah. Has any GM that’s been with an organization for 10 years plus not had some bad years? Been on the hot seat? I can’t name a single one that hasn’t.

This is a good addition.

I like it. He can do what Mickey can't, build a roster. Also, anything to lessen Mickey's power is a win. Hell they could hire somebody who's only job is to constantly tell Mickey "that's a bad idea" and it would be a net positive.

His rosters went 28-36 after the Super Bowl collapse, which ultimately got him canned. The falcons are 57-75 in total since 2016.

He’s basically Mickey - live off your franchise QB but do not have a succession plan in place. Like Mickey he has some hits but the FA and draft classes fell short when it came time to rebuild after the collapse

That said, he has a scouting background and we can’t get any worse than our recent string of drafts. Welcome, Thomas

That’s kind of what I thought, but then I went back and looked at the draft picks during his tenure at the Patriots and the falcons. Woof!

If you take out top 10 picks like Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Jake Matthews with the falcons, you have a handful of guys like Keanu Neal, Grady Jarrett, Curtis Lofton Deion Jones, Russel Gage and Devonta Freeman who made an impact. Then there are guys like Vic Beasley, Jalen Collins, Ra'Shede Hageman, Isaiah Oliver, Marlon Davison, Calvin Ridley, AJ Terrell, Duke Riley, Peter Konz and Peria Jerry who are all 1st or 2nd round picks that didn’t do much or left the team within a few years.

Just leave it alone and watch them out themselves as idiots. You can see some of the usual suspects already.
