Any advice on not getting scammed when buying tickets from an individual is appreciated. We are going to the Florida game. Don't have tickets yet. Am considering buying tickets from ones offered on dandydon. The first two sellers that responded can't meet in person. Makes me nervous. Prices on the resellers like seat geek are pricey, especially since needing 4 tickets. Not sure how to ensure tickets are legit.

We bought individual game tickets for years and never had a problem, but haven't been to a game in the past 5 years. It is sad that scamming has become common place. If I was president, scammers would be shot in the head.

only because you asked, verified resellers would be the only thing I'd trust.

SeatGeek is the official resale marketplace of LSU, and they have it linked to our Season ticket holder accounts for direct listing. That is about as secure as you can get. Most everyone I know opt for the digital tickets these days because the school charges us extra to print paper tickets. When I can't go to a game, I list them on SeatGeek. I got scammed by someone on this board a few years ago unfortunately.

I remember the good ole days when you could barter with black guys around campus or just hold up 2 fingers outside the stadium.

Thank you. How do I verify digital tickets? Can the ticket office verify them for me?

Not sure why I am getting a few downvotes?

Why not just “guys”?

From the LSU website:

SeatGeek is the Official Ticket Marketplace of LSU Athletics, which means all tickets for upcoming LSU games that are bought and sold on SeatGeek are trusted and verified. With seamless integration, a 100% Buyer Guarantee and tools to ensure you’re buying and selling your tickets at the right price, SeatGeek is the only destination where transactions are fully verified and supported by LSU Athletics.

Definitely dont buy from anybody on facebook. On here you chances of getting scammed are less likely and you can usually click on their account and look at previous sales where people responded to them exc

But seatgeek is the way to go if you dont want to stress

Dandy don has lots of scammers. I know they're probably cheaper but be careful.

It is still early. People are asking a lot at this point in case they get lucky with some fans that have got to be at that game. Prices will adjust lower as the game week progresses.

SeatGeek and Stubhub guarantee your purchase. For the Rose Bowl a few years ago, my tickets did not arrive on game day morning. I got a call from a Stubhub representative who apologized and gave me two tickets that were better seats than I had purchased at no additional cost.

If using Venmo or such, make sure the phone number on the Venmo is the same as you've been texting them on. Send payment with any guarantee the payment platform offers, even if it costs an extra 3%. Don't do the F/F purchase!

Or, buy on SeatGeek.

If you watch the ticket exchange on here you can see who always sells and nobody has anything bad to say about them. People always complain about price but normally cheaper than seat geek and Stubhub. Just scan exchange 3-5 times daily write down usernames. I never meet when selling or buying everything is digital now havent got burned yet but its prolly coming.

Buy from consistent sellers from the Ticket Exchange here. I normally sell tickets (from my season tickets) for games that I cannot attend. As others have said, check the post history of the person selling. If they have a lot of posts on Tiger Rant, they are probably ok. Also, get their real name and cell phone number and call them and do an internet search on them. Once verified, the transaction itself is fairly easy. Venmo does not provide payment protection, unless you pay extra. PayPal does provide purchaser protection. With LSU's electronic method, I always ask for the buyer's cell phone and I give them my cell phone and Venmo account. Once I confirm payment, I send the tickets via the LSU Sports Mobile App immediately. Also, with my cell phone, on game day (if I am around), I am available if any issues arise. I almost got scammed by a buyer this year, which was a first, but I was diligent in making sure the buyer was real and not a scammer. I flushed it out fairly easy. I hope this helps.

Thank you. Been on Tigerdroppings for years and was not aware of a ticket exchange here. Used the one on dandydon numerous times, but ran into 2 scammer ones this week.

I support the death penalty for scammers!

Got nervous and just bought 4 tickets on seatgeek. $2k. A lot of money, but haven't been to a game in 5 years. Wanted to show my teenage grandkids a good time so paid for lower bowl. We bleed p&g and expect the crowd to be on fire, so ponied up the bucks.

Thanks to those that responded. Still don't understand why the downvotes.

Can you post the scammers names or email? Is this allowed here?
