A federal appeals court ruled Friday that most of President Donald Trump’s global tariffs are illegal, striking a massive blow to the core of his aggressive trade policy

A panel of three judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled that the law Trump invoked when he granted his most expansive tariffs does not actually grant him the power to impose those levies.

I wish these courts found Obamacare illegal.

You think the SCOTUS dares go head to head with Trump on this one? They won’t because Trump won’t abide and they would look weak.

Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution vests the power to lay and collect tariffs with Congress. The Founding Fathers intended for legislative oversight on taxation, tariffs, and related financial matters, viewing tariffs as strategic levers to be used with caution and prudence.

You may want to follow the acts passed by Congress that ended up give that power to the executive.

Because then he'd be violating the law. That is a line that would deserve impeachment and likely removal.

Could the Senate go to 60 for removal? Maybe not.
