This will only be my 3rd year bow hunting. The 3 deer I've shot have all been with QAD Exodus fixed broadhead. Still going to roll with them but I am looking at getting some mechanical to try out. Looking at Beast, Speed, and SEVR. I know a lot of people love the G5 Megameat also.

Cutthroat single bevel.

Expensive but have been able to reuse them and have life time warranty.

Sevr 2” cut but I have a pack of beast this year. POI is the same as sevr so I will try them this year. What I like is there is no bands to keeps the blades locked in.

Rocket Steelhead 100s. OOP, but I stocked up on replacement blades.

G5 Mega Meat....but shoot what you have confidence in. Amazing how much better we all shoot when we believe in our gear.

I use a 125gr iron will double bevel with bleeders. I also keep a 125gr grim reaper mechanical in my quiver for those windy days.
I shot the exodus for a couple years too. Crazy sharp heads with stupid penetration. I wish they would change the packaging because I’ve cut a finger every time I’ve taken them out the package.
I plan to change out my grim reaper with a g5 dead meat this year though. I’ve heard real good things about the dead meats.

I watched a clip from FMJ opening up the Beast broadheads. They put a thumb protector and band aids to n their packaging.

If you want to watch a really good broadhead testing video, look up “bow only outdoors broadhead test” on YouTube. The video was posted 5 months ago and says “the sequel” in the description.
Really good video testing broadheads on live deer. About 4:30 minutes in, he uses an iron will single bevel and the doe doesn’t know she’s hit and only goes about 5-10 yards and stops and dies.
I got the same results with them. They don’t realize they’re hit. Probably feels like a bee stung them. I’m not saying this to hype iron will specifically, but it just goes to show the difference between an extremely sharp broadhead, and one that is just kind of sharp.
I also hand sharpen my heads to the point that you could shave your face with them lol

I’m using Zeus Broadheads this season. I’m also interested in the VPA fixed. They did a collaboration with Archery Country out of Texas.

What happened to Rage, all these comments and not one Rage shooter.

They used to be everyone's favorite

100 gr shwackers. Blood trails are not great but they sure are accurate.
