Is Trump hinting at eliminating federal income tax?

I know it may be wishful thinking
But…
No taxes on tips
No taxes on overtime
No taxes on Social Security
He just mentioned that the USA used to get its revenue from tariffs before federal income tax was started in 1913

He has been very open about eliminating it for 200k and below.

Thank you
I didn’t know that

Talk about eliminating property taxes.
Talk about eliminating federal income tax.

Talk about eliminating federal income tax.

I’m ok with paying more for stuff I don’t need that are manufactured overseas if income tax is abolished.
I voted for that.
I voted for that.

If we can cut spending thats a possibility.
Right now we are still running massive deficits because congress wont cut anything.

It's not anywhere near being a possibility. Don't be silly.

Depends on what gets cut and what the tariffs are set at.

What a horrible idea. We need more people contributing to the tax base, not fewer.

Agree, but through other means of taxation
Consumption tax where everyone pays is the answer
Consumption tax where everyone pays is the answer

Yes...then you do have a choice

You do realize currently roughly 50% of the American population pays no income tax? Under a tariff system, everyone would pay it

In case you've been in a coma, that's what the tarriff's are for. They've already brought in way more than taxing 200k below on wages.
Let the consumer decide where they want to "spend" their tax money

Income taxes were started by Jews to rob the American taxpayer. Hint, they were doing this BS to Germany also!

It's what this country needs.
Along with reducing the welfare/food stamp/section 8 benefits.
For too long we have incentivized the wrong behaviors.
We need to start rewarding the people who work.
Make it appealing to work and keep more of the money you earned.
Make it very uncomfortable to be lazy and sit on your arse waiting for a handout.

Why only $200K and below? If it's eliminated, and I hope it is, it should be eliminated. Not eliminated for some, but not others.

Great, then quit with the class warfare bullshite and eliminate income taxes altogether. Don't just shift the load to people already paying more than their share.

Yeah, mensa, I do. The post I responded to is talking about making that freeloading percentage larger, not smaller.
