re: gun websites-used shotguns

I've used guns international dot com with success.
I was there, and thought he did a really good job with the speech. He comes across as sincere and committed. My biggest takeaway was how unprepared he was for the darker side of politics.
That’s fine. I’m philosophically opposed to taxing productivity and general commerce.

Taxing property encourages productivity. Taxing income and sales discourages productivity.

Look at Europe. They tax the frick out of income and sales and they don’t produce shite. Goddamn Mississippi has a more productive economy per capita than pretty much every EU country and England.

Income and property taxes are production taxes, but sales taxes are consumption taxes. All taxes should be consumption taxes.

You'd think that but my '19 GX 460 gets about 2 MPG more than my '18 TRD Off Road 4Runner. Also, the GX is much more confidence inspiring, my son calls it "planted," in heavy rain.
Usually a S&W 642 PowerPort in a Veil Solutions Ghost, or minimally a NAA .22 Mag in a pocket holster.
Haven't been to an LSU game there yet, but my son is a freshman at Arkansas. XNA airport is convenient. I usually fly from BTR but there are some direct flights from MSY, very reasonably priced. Everyone up there is really friendly and nice.
That's funny as hell. My 19yo son is a freshman at U of Ark and his listening age was 50 (I'm also 52) and mine was 48.
They basically just laid a big turd on LSU to embarrass the coaching search

"They" being the leadership of lsu?

Went in early fall 2006, with my parents and grandparents. My paternal grandfather landed on Utah Beach, and my grandmother was a British War Bride and RAF veteran. As a Marine veteran it was surreal to stand on the beach with my grandfather and my dad (a National Guard and Army Reserve retiree). We crossed the channel on the ferry from Portsmouth, where my grandparents met in a Pub (that is sadly a parking lot now), to Caen. We stayed at the Lion d'Or in Bayeux. There was a good museum in Bayeux, and of course go see the Bayeux Tapestry. There are tiny museums everywhere, and my grandfather wasn't allowed to pay for entry into any of them, or for a meal at any restaurant. The cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer is a must, and be prepared for the wind. I'm a pretty picky eater, so while breakfasts were fantastic, the dinner and supper choices were pretty suspect. We had an amazing 2-day tour but that was nearly 20 years ago, so I can't remember who with.
Charity is no part of the legislative duty of government.- James Madison.
Charity is an individual responsibility, not a collectivist one.
Individuals don't "contribute" to unemployment insurance. Businesses do, and the rates are based on payroll only, and don't adjust based on claims history or denials.

The cafeteria workers don't force that, the Federal School Lunch program guidelines do.
Me too! I thought I was "middle aged." Orvis has the best fitting pants I have found that fit appropriately over boots.

re: Conceal Carry Holster

Posted by Old0331 on 9/12/25 at 12:57 pm to
Just started using a Veil Solutions Ghost for my J-frame 642 powerport. I carry tucked at appendix, and swapped out the very high quality DCC clip with an UltiClip that totally disappears behind the belt. I still occasionally use a vintage Renegade ankle holster inside my boot for the same gun, but accessibility with the Ghost is exponentially better. When I can't carry something that large, I carry an NAA .22 Magnum in a Sticky Holsters pocket holster.
These games pay for all the non-revenue programs required by the misinterpretation of Title IX at those schools.
Why only $200K and below? If it's eliminated, and I hope it is, it should be eliminated. Not eliminated for some, but not others.
Not a "hoax" per se, just kids with nerf guns making poor decisions.
My son drives a 2019 F-150 and moves in to Maple Hill West next Friday (8th) so I appreciate you starting this! Fayetteville is a hell of a long way from Baton Rouge.
We got lucky with this. The ophthalmologist told my Dad that he just didn't have the peripheral vision to responsibly drive anymore. He didn't like it, but accepted it.

Agree about the stupidity of the average South LA "conservative" voter, but the only redeeming thing about Foster was his elevating Bobby.

re: Shakeup in LSU Administration?

Posted by Old0331 on 2/7/25 at 1:25 pm to
Agree 100%. TOPS/Higher Ed Funding Reform was unfortunately a "failure" for Bobby in that the schools and feckless media beat him on the messaging, and the Legislature didn't have the intestinal fortitude to actually require MERIT, because of the precipitous drop in minority qualifiers for each tiny incremental step up in requirement. A 20 ACT score and 3.0 GPA isn't indicative of any semblance of scholastic merit. Fantastic idea, disastrous implementation.

I’m going to go with the grammatical error in her statement.

I’m with you. If I have to pay Parish property tax on it, and/or if I can be sued for something that happens to you on it, it’s not “public,” and you’ve no “right” to be there. That said, I do realize that North and South LA guys see this somewhat differently.
There are two young men at the BR Orvis store who can hook you up when it comes to flies. Matt, the fishing mgr, or the young man from Birmingham who just graduated from LSU. Great guy I’m ashamed I can’t recall his name. They both happily FaceTime my fly fishing son in Little Rock and help him pick out seasonal bass, panfish, and trout flies.

The interview about it with Bellisario is worth the watch.
Yep, total garbage outfit. AARP sold their soul to them a few years ago for their thirty pieces of silver. They aren't "advocating" for seniors anymore, they're shilling for UHC.
