Don’t tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death.

Get right with your God and its not such a daunting thought.

Faith in Jesus Christ. I worry for my wife and daughters if I were to pass. But for myself, I know what’s ahead. The life of the world to come. I don’t deserve it, trust me.

not the least bit afraid of death itself, the process itself is another matter. what I mean is I'm not afraid of death but my worst case scenario would be being incapacitated to the point that I require assistance to live; like being paralyzed for example.

Why be scared of death? It'll be like it was before you were born. Do you remember what that was like?

I mean, I’m not really afraid OF death, but I am afraid of my manner of death. Like I’d be satisfied if I found out this would be my manner of death:

"In my own bed, with a belly full of wine and a maiden's mouth around my cock, at the age of eighty.”

I'm not afraid of anything after dealing with my ex-wife. Marry a crazy one then get bent over by the family court system and you'll welcome the peace.

Because I know I'm going to die on May 5th 2041 and I have until then to worry. At least that's the date the super accurate Facebook quiz gave me.

Why would you be afraid of death. At death, any pain is gone, and if you are a Christian you go to your eternal reward.

You should live your life anticipating death, not fearing it.

I can’t wait to see what is in store in the afterlife. Not afraid at all.

The thought of eternal nothingness freaks me out, but I’m honestly kind of tired of living like this, I wish I believed in some sort of afterlife

I think there's a lot of nuance to talk over here. Firstly, some folks aren't afraid of death right now because it's quite far off in their minds but would have some understandable fear and apprehension if death were at their doorstep. I think this is normal. Anything that is different or unknown is likely to cause some stress and fear in us. Now, if you're living everyday with distressing fear and dread regarding your mortality, that may be an anxiety condition you're battling.

For me, I've seen more death than I would have liked to and seeing the spark of life leave a living creature always hit me in an interesting way. I could look at the body that housed this soul just moments prior and it's almost palpable how you no longer associate the living consciousness you knew with the body before you. That body was not the person I knew, that was something else entirely. Some folks aren't followers of Christ and I understand why their position wouldn't reflect mine but I think that notion that I've felt and referenced earlier is a piece of eternity that truly is written on our hearts. There's something inside of us that knows that human beings are much more than just bone and muscle and electrical impulses in a squishy organ between our ears. There's a real soul and that soul, I believe, is one that is transcendent of mortality. That gives me hope of a future much better than our present and I trust Christ at his word. God bless.
