I really don’t understand the greater goal of replacing people with AI.
For every person you replace for greater efficiency via AI you also take that person’s economic contribution off the table.
Do that enough and you tank the economy.
It feels like a cutoff your nose to spite your face situation.

We’ve already tried this during lockdown. People need to work and be productive. Laying around and doing nothing is asking for crime and dysfunction.
