Michael A. Woodhouse, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, believes the reason this is such a popular dining destination is that the company has been in the business of “pleasing people for generations.”

quote:

“We feel very positive about the future. We have a clear strategic direction. We’ve weathered many storms and remained strong in our 40 years of operation. The company was built on good country cooking. But it’s important to adjust what we do to remain relevant,” said Woodhouse.

Did he have a Tranny in the woodpile here?

Their food has gone way downhill. Wouldn’t be surprised if this retard killed them off.

"Trannie" begins with a T.

My guess is they short sold the stock when it changed hands.

Its a racket.

If you dont know what that means just go look it up and see how alot of companies have had this happen ie: Walgreens

It really has. That’s the reason I stopped going in the first place - and they always seemed short-staffed.

It wasn’t the decor or the signage. It was the food.

Their pinto beans and turnip greens are not the same as they use to be.The pintos are not doctored up. I bet they come from a can and not from scratch.

They removed roast beef from the menu. They have a pot roast, but not the sliced roast beef.

The biscuits are now bite-sized. They have made them tiny. The portions, especially the hash browns have gotten very small.

I tell them I want extra biscuits when I put my order in.

Stop going if you still go. Kind of like Piccadilly in a way. Piccadilly has died a slow death because the food got bad and most of their customers are in nursing homes. I miss Piccadilly but like Cracker Barrel they are done.

Piccadilly still has much better food than Cracker Barrel..

I went for desert a few months ago. No blackberry cobbler in the little cast iron skillet. No more cobblers period. Come on, that is country cooking.

Picadilly

I used to love Picadilly. We would go eat there like twice a month after church while I was growing up. Roast Beef, Double Mash potatoes, greenbeans, Garlic bread, and a slice of Cheese Cake. We even had a server that worked there for so long that she knew us all by name.
