Take one sentence from a long form interview, ignore the context, blast it.
Our society is so emotional and irrational.
They were obviously having a discussion about WWII where we chose to ally with evil hyper murderous Soviets who starved millions to death in order to fight the evil hyper murderous fascists who burned millions to death.
The winners write the history books indeed, but any actual student of history will tell you there was no good side in Russia vs Germany and many spirited debates have been had about what should have been done.

Stalin's regime was every bit as bad and in many ways worse that Hitler's. There's a lot of dead Americans who fought in various proxy wars against the USSR.
