All the past problems with Ochsner aside, this is a great thing for both the Saints and the Pels.

A new $45.6 million sports medicine facility is coming to Metairie and will be built next to the Saints and Pelicans training facility, Ochsner Health and the two teams announced Wednesday.
Called Ochsner Medical Complex - Airline, it will be on the corner of Airline Drive and Tom Benson Way. Construction is expected to start later this year with a projected opening in late 2027.
It will be an expansion of Ochsner's partnership with national sports medicine provider Andrews Medicine, which already provides orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists in cities across Louisiana as part of the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute.
“This is a world-class medical facility that we should all be very proud to have in our community," Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson said in a statement. "It will serve patients throughout the entire Gulf South region in addition to directly servicing players from both teams."

The Ochsner Medical Complex will be open to the public and serve everyone from kids to professional athletes to senior citizens.
“This facility is designed to be a premier destination for sports medicine care in the region, offering cutting-edge treatments and expertise to help our local professional athletes and competitors of all levels stay active, recover stronger, and achieve their full potential," Dr. W. Stephen Choate, the lead physician for the Saints, said in the release.
All the past problems with Ochsner aside, this is a great thing for both the Saints and the Pels.

Maybe this facility will help but doubtful as who really wants to live here with better options everywhere?

Andrew’s has a relationship with Ochsner granted probably a marketing gimmick but it is in the Ocshner name for Sports Medicine

Because they're better despite being the 'poor hospital'
Want an actual MD/DO see you? Or you want a mid-level? I rest my case.

Surprised you’re not banned yet. You love to speak out of your arse.
Anyone would be glad to do sports medicine for a professional team in a new sports complex. Also Louisiana is rated #11 in salary for sports physicians.

It certainly won’t bring Sean Payton back . They will still go to Florida or California for rehab.
When are we fixing up the SKC?

Is this going in the wooded land next to the Shrine? Only place it could go.
Saints/Pels really need to acquire the Shrine and just tear it down, and take over that entire land to expand

Good but I will still get to hear Willie/next coach say those magic words….
“He’ll be re-evaluated in 2-4 weeks”

Not happening! Shrine is getting renovated!!! Something we have yet to see at the SKC.

Still, officials are hopeful that a multi-million dollar renovation, expected to break ground in the coming months, will help breathe new life into the Metairie stadium and attract a slate of new tenants. "In my opinion, it makes the renovations that much more important," said Jefferson Parish Council member Deano Bonano. Nearly $30 million in state and local funding has been earmarked for the renovations that will re-orient the stadium, which was built for watching baseball, into one aimed at sports like football and soccer that have a rectangular field.

The redesign will also include permanent fixtures that will allow the Shrine to more easily host concerts. "This is going to be a multi-purpose facility that can cater to a lot of different things," said Jefferson Parish Council member Scott Walker.

Jefferson Parish, while anemic by most counties in southeastern states is light years ahead of Orleans with permitting/development issues.

Will her indicted highness and her bodyguard help break ground?

They better focus on conditioning. Im so tired as seeing the saints and pels being the most injured in both leagues. Every year it is the same old song and dance. It just happens at different times
