Like who buys a franchise for 4 billion dollars and doesn’t have a plan for the movie trilogy story? It’s astounding how hard it ended up killing the brand. Nowadays nobody gives a shite about Star Wars

I’m very interested to see their balance sheet. I ASSUME they’ve made a profit in general on Star Wars which is all they care about. Having it actually be good is totally lagniappe.

They only have to sell 4-5 of those lightsabers at Star Wars World to breakeven from the Lucasfilm purchase.

Well, when you take a dump on the franchise a good percentage of the core fans and target audience are not going to bother sifting through the dung heap looking for a diamond.

That's kind of his point.

Im not sure whiny bitches are the target audience.

There's plenty of good Star Wars available recently. Certainly more than there was between 1984 and 2020.

Its funny how you idiots can convince yourselves of anything despite the truth staring you in the face.

Andor achieved a series high of 931 million viewing minutes during the week of its finale on May 12-18, according to Nielsen. This propelled the Star Wars series to the No. 1 overall ranking on Nielsen's streaming charts

I'm a big fan of things Star Wars, so I was excited for Andor. I just couldn't do it. So many words/conversations leading to nowhere. I may try again, but I just did not enjoy the 2 or 3 episodes I struggled through.

Andor S2 had average 6.6 million viewers per episode. Mando S2 had 30 million in comparison

That would be lots of people.
Acolyte had better ratings than Andor.

Me in 2012: “I mean, it can’t be any worse than the prequels, right?”

They already killed Star Wars. Why would I keep watching?

The Acolyte deserved it, it is better than Ahsoka.

Also not sure that chart is up to date. If the finale of andor had almost a billion minutes viewed then would be difficult for the entire season to have 3 billion.

Would mean basically noone picked it up and watched it in the past couple months after live premiere views. When was that chart posted?

Youre free to keep watching the challenge season 37.5 and the voice season 69. Why bother watching anything else?

They assumed audiences would show up to anything, and to be fair, it worked with TFA. But TLJ split the fanbase, and star wars never recovered. Now, when they announce a new project, most people just shrug their shoulders.

They could've just used the plot of the books written years ago that continue the story after episode 6, but decided to drop those three turds.

You got to keep at it.

Treat it as 4 3-episode movies. It builds upon itself. It really takes it times and pays off at the end more than you can imagine.

I'm with you. The most overrated show on this board since....? I mean it is not terrible, but I have difficulty putting it on and making it through more than one episode. I will keep going but it is a slow pace. In contrast, couldn't wait for each episode of Penguin.

The sequel trilogy still made $4.4 billion in box office and no telling how many Disney+ subscribers the Star Wars brand has brought in. Im pretty sure Disney doesnt regret the purchase.
