So much potential wasted. Mr Terrific was the best part.

Fantastic 4 & Thunderbolts were better imo

Just watched it today. I liked it. I'm really picky about these types of movies these days.

Seems like most people thought Superman was at least pretty good...

I agree with that

It was Batman Forever-level campy, crammed with pointless characters, a bloated Transformers-esque plot, none of the characters had any internal struggle(s).... and no "with great power comes great responsibility" but instead "your choices make you who you are".

Felt less like a movie and more like I accidentally switched over to Cartoon Network.

I thought it was pretty good. First time they got Superman, Lois, and Luthor right in the same film. Krypto was cringe and I thought Luthor’s plan could be a bit better, but best live action Superman film made in my lifetime.

Yeah, they usually keep the Spider-man lines out Superman movies.

And you either don't know what campy means, haven't seen Batman Forever in a long time, or straight up didn't watch this Superman film. Probably all three.

I loved it and was not expecting to. I had a lot of fun.

I liked Superman better than those two, but it was finally a decent year for superhero movies other than Cap 4. Too bad they didn’t make very much money. Superman did the best out of all of them, but that’s not saying much.

Agree that Fantastic 4 was better, I didn’t see Thunderbolts. I thought Superman was boring.

Just not a fan of James Gunn with a character like Superman. The casting was spot on but just too much going on and just too much campiness. Changing Jor-El’s message was shitty. That would be like saying Joe Chill killed Thomas Wayne in self defense and it was actually a drug deal gone bad.

Guess you weren’t a child of the 70’s then. Too bad cause the original Christopher Reeves Superman is hands down the best Superman to date.

Gunn is just warming you up for the bisexual orgies in the DC universe.

Gunn is gonna frick DC up something awful.

I enjoyed all 3 and would watch them all again . I’ve been very critical of comic book movies post Endgame.

Would probably rank them:

F4
Superman
Thunderbolts

You speak as if all of your superhero film knowledge is based on second-hand information.

James Gunn doesn't 'get' Superman.

It's literally beyond his ability to understand the essence of what makes the character.
