Agreed sprinkler. I assume that PVC pipe is just stuck in the ground so the sprinkler doesn't get hit with a lawnmower. Can maybe get a popup version if you're using the sprinklers that will sit below the grass so you can remove the pipe.

From the looks of the grass I would say it is a non functioning sprinkler head.

It's a damn alien! You better evacuate ASAP!
Yeah, it's a sprinkler head.

This is what I was wondering, if it’s related to the septic tank. Thanks.

The head looks purple, typically means sprinkler head for the aerobic septic system i.e. shite water

It’s a landmine. Do not step on it.

And by the way, Google is still your friend. You can take a picture of it and google will tell you what it is.

Is the house on a septic system? It looks like the gray water sprinkler head at my house.

I agree. Nothing better than some piss water spraying out in the yard while the younguns run around playing.

Sprinkler head in the ground. He pipe is just to indicate where it is so you don’t run over it with the lawnmower.

Yes it is, thanks.

Does your come on with a timer, or does it just come on when you switch it on?

There should be a float switch inside the tank. Once the water inside the tank reaches a certain level, the pump switches on until the level gets low enough. Some do have a timer though.

It is positioned too high. Needs to be dug a tad deeper.
