As featured on this new poster, Fallout: Season 2 takes place in New Vegas. We see our returning heroes Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, Maximus, and The Ghoul’s dog companion, Dogmeat, on the outskirts of New Vegas.
Social media posts from the set suggest fans will see the New Vegas Strip – including iconic locales like the Lucky 38 Resort and Casino and The Tops as well as roadside landmark Dinky the T-Rex – before and after the nuclear war. New Vegas was teased at the end of Fallout: Season 1 where Power Armor-clad Overseer Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) is seen approaching the city limits.

Fans should remember that the Fallout show takes place after the events of the games and is considered canon. Co-showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet said in an April 2024 interview that Season 2 is set 15 years after the events depicted in Fallout: New Vegas and that fans shouldn’t expect New Vegas to be exactly as it was in that game.
quote:
The showrunners have also confirmed that Robert House, aka Mr. House, is in Season 2. “Las Vegas in the world of Fallout is Robert House’s town. Robert House will be involved in Season 2,” Wagner said. Robert House made a cameo during a pre-war sequence in Fallout: Season 1.
In the games, Mr. House’s consciousness is plugged into a super-computer which has allowed him to exist for hundreds of years since the war. He rules New Vegas from his Lucky 38 casino.

It's still hard to believe how good season 1 was. There was nothing about the idea of this show that ever led me to believe it wouldn't be crap.
They nailed the tone of the games to a tee and it never seemed cringy or forced. Practically everyone they casted nailed their roles, Goggins especially.

agreed. i know very little about the game, but didn't come in entirely uninformed. Everything about it top to bottom was great.
In for a good fall:
Alien:Earth
Fallout
Wednesday
Only Murders
Stranger Things
Nobody Wants this
Slow Horses

It makes me want to dust off the old ps3 and play the games again

So the canon ending of New Vegas is the one where House wins? I guess that means the NCR was basically wiped out, which explains why they were barely in season one.

It's because of Jonathan Nolan. I think he admitted he almost failed out of college because he played Fallout 3 so much. He had them put a console on set and the actors played it.
Give him money and get the frick out of the way. Then it'll stay incredible

I never played the game, but S1 of the show was great.
I loved how any time they started a scene that seemed fairly innocuous, I said to myself, this is not going to end well. I said that right at the bridge scene and ended up lmao.

Really excited about this
Season 1 exceeded my expectations. Gonna have to do a re-watch sometime the next few months.

You guys are missing out. 3, 4 and New Vegas were like crack.

I worked with the guy who did Walt Goggins' makeup in season 1 a while back. He was also the dude who played the farmer trying to stop the weird scientist guy from fricking his chickens. Never realized it but he's a legend in the business. Dude also played the alien in Independence Day.
He also happens to be one of Samuel L Jackson's personal makeup artists so he'll be in NOLA soon.

The sets in season 1 were fatastic.
Glad there wasnt an entire 2 year gap between seasons (or at least it doesnt feel like it)

Never played the games but loved S1. Ella Purnell was excellent in particular.

A nice glimpse of Yes Man but no look at the securitrons. Also, why did they change actors for Mr House?
