BREC/BRSC at its finest

Been dealing with this stupidity for too long.
It's too hot to practice.
It's too cold to practice.
It's raining so we can' practice even though the majority of games played in England are played in 40-50F weather in the rain.
Lighting strike in Grosse Tette, everyone 15 miles away go under the metal pavilion out in the open field.
Yesterday they sent a message at 3:15 cancelling practices at 5 b/c they expected lightning all afternoon. Bunch of meteorologist over at BREC/BRSC.
If you were in BR yesterday, you'd know that nothing like that happened.
I would bet every single football team in the city was out practicing at 5, but we weren't practicing soccer.
Today they send this hilarious message out, delaying practice.
Then they let them start practice at 5:15, and immediately go into lightning delays b/c there's a little pop up storm in Denham Springs. So b/c there was lightning in Denham Springs, we can't practice at Burbank.

The club is a cluster, it’s truly mind blowing. Competition side is a money pit, Maroon league is ruining the recreational league. Instead of fixing any issues they just keep adding more shite.

Explain to me why lightning matters in soccer. I get it in baseball if you're holding a lightning rod in your hands. But it seems like you'd be far more likely to get injured slipping in the rain than being struck by lightning while playing soccer
