He went to the falcons yes but he had bills to pay I can forgive that.
imo he’s clearly the saints greatest receiver and it isn’t even close… slap all you want but Imagine that dude with Drew Brees.
1161 average in 6 years (I took out the katrina year) .. caught 60% of passes which would be closer to 67-70% with Brees or someone better than Aaron.
Dude truly represented New Orleans to the max he’s 80% of the reason im a fan of the team. So much when I was a kid I thought he was from New Orleans.
What caused saints fans to turn on him?? Before one of you angry birds get mad Colston was cool but he wasn’t a game breaker like A HealthyHorn.
He should be in the ring of honor when considering his late start (27-28) he’s very underrated by this fanbase.
Some key words for the angry birds also..
when healthy.
Eric martin is before my time so excuse me if you choose him.

Does our fanbase hate Joe Horn? I have never heard that before. He gets overlooked because he played with Brooks and Hasslet.

where's the assumption that saints fans hate joe horn coming from?
his personality sort of didn't vibe with payton when payton came on board and birds flew their separate ways but other than that, fans loved joe horn.

You must be a pretty old guy, right, Boomer?

I don’t think anyone hates Joe Horn.
He’s not the best Saints WR though. That’s Colston then MT13 then Martin then Horn.
Martin has more receptions as a Saint, and he also played in an era with Carl Smith playing run-run-pass-punt every possession. He also went up the middle and was super tough.

I used to buy his BBQ sauce which is pretty good. Everyone I know loves Joe Horn and it was my first jersey.

Don’t think anyone hates him, he has some good seasons. But also didn’t he go to the Falcons when he left the Saints??

Carl Smith Gulf Coast Offense otherwise known as the "Run and Punt." Its too bad we had him calling the plays and Hebert as qb. Would at least won a few playoff games. I absolutely hated those 2 clowns more than any player and coach in the league.

He played with Aaron Brooks they played with Drew Brees absolutely no comparison
This is exactly what Im talking about you even put thomas ahead lol. The numbers are similar outside of 1 season and Horn played in a much lesser situation.
In MT’s situation he easily hits 1500 yearly.
Put the numbers side by side and compare situations very simple math.

Put the numbers side by side and lets compare situations.
Then prove my point for me again you’re sitting here acting like it isn’t happening. Your literally proving me right
Didnt start multiple games until age 28 also. Go ahead bud.

Him and Deuce were supposed to come to an autograph signing at a Rotolos in Bossier back around 2012/2013 ish. Deuce came, Joe didn't show. I was very excited because it was my fav 2 saints of all time, but at least Deuce was a cool guy.

If michal thomas was as good as you lie to yourself and make you believe.
He’d still be on a team doing good??? He’s unemployed.. common denominator?? no Drew Brees.
Same Drew Brees David fricking Patton at 35-37 almost hit 1k with BTW
To sit here and talk like it isn’t debatable is insane to me when his numbers are arguably better in again a much worse situation… less attemps by the qb also.
Back to Thomas if he was as good as you say why hasn’t he made another NFL team and been unemployed for 2 years???

Just playing.
The only reason I have seen people speak poorly of him was they felt the cell phone thing was selfish, they blame him for Willie wanting out, and the way he left and where he went had some people turn their noses up at him
*It has come out they had the wrong Joe, but some people have their mind made up and still point at Horn for that.
My recollection was they wanted him to restructure his contract, and possible pay cut, because Loomis was doing Loomis things even back then. He refused because he felt he earned that money, so they cut him after a year with Sean & Drew

He was right at 60% in his 1st year with Drew, and his numbers were starting to decline. There's a reason he only played 1 more year in the league after leaving NOLA.
