LSU posted the after practice interview for Bernard Gooden. He comes across as a really likable guy.

Don’t even need to listen to him speak to know he’s a good guy, that big smile tells it all!

Would have been a good pickup strictly for the dawg mentality he brings but it sounds like he’s going to bring the production as well

This defense seems to have a lot of alpha personalities with high character traits.
Have the feeling there’s something special building between players and coaches.

He may just be a young John Randle

I loved the look on his face when the lady asked him what he says on the field. Yeah, I don’t think he can roll any of that off in a presser He handed it well and moved along.

He and Pyburn are impressive to listen to. Pyburn sounds like a machine. All business. This dude has a good smile to him but I don’t know that I’d want to try to stop him….

this dude and the rest of the dline are going to stuff any running game on early downs ,and get some pass rush along with reliford mckinley and pyburn. then on 3rd down we bring in the pass rush package with a blitz off the edge thats going to be Perkins and payton and that leaves butler one on one.

And a lot of high motor guys - Gooden, Whit Weeks and Perkins.

love this guy already. from all the reports on his dominating practices etc, but now to hear him and see him smile and just love the game coach williams, this guy will be a huge reason why our D turns the corner.

“ Dude is built like a tank”

My immediate thought was the same.

He comes across as one of those trash talkers that is a bit of a cut up, just doing it to be distracting to the other side. Those are the good kind that can really help a D because it’s done to cause an effect.

Jamal Adams was great at that
