Prepare for all the usual suspects to call for the end of the world. The latest flu/COVID variant is in full on arse kicking mode.

I was at a national convention last week in WI. Got home Wed night and started feeling shitty on Thurs. A lot worse by Friday night, was completely on my back Sat and most of Sun. All good today with a full day of work and hit the gym this evening.

It was congestion, constant sneezing, terrible body aches (I hurt all over like I had been in a car wreck), fever, stomach cramps and serious fatigue.

Figured it was a one off until I got to the office today and half my crew was out after having been to a separate convention in TN until Sat. Today they were all laid up complaining of the EXACT symptoms. I wish I could say it was hooker and blow related but these weren’t those type of meetings.

Also have a couple of friends on the NorthShore down with it as well.

I am hearing similar things from other people in the industry that travel. This is how the whole pandemic thing started for us as we saw it first I believe due to our exposure to people from all over.

Good news is it didn’t kill any of us. Bad news, day 2 and 3 suck pretty hard.

Anyone else seeing this yet?

Thank you for your patronage.

I probably should have mentioned that I know two people who tested this with a COVID kit and it came back positive. That was actually kind of vital info I left out of the OP.

People getting ill?

You think this is something new. People get sick. You were sick a couple days and you think that's worthy of a post.

I'm happy you recovered from this apocalyptic virus.

I had similar symptoms last week.

When I looked up the symptoms severe sore throat was mentioned. I did not have that, but did have congestion, body aches, fatigue, congestion and stomach issues.

Yep, seeing this a bit.

Lots of smartass comments, but I understood the context of your comments. Thanks.

Your post is missing vital information, does the virus cease to spread during protests?

Oh my God, thank you for letting me know. I’m going to stock up on vitamin C, D, zinc, masks, and will socially extra distant at the store for the next few months.

Hopefully this thread doesn’t spark a run on essential items before I get there.
