The odds of winning at +4.5 are a lot better than +3.5.

It’s not the odds, it’s the line. Clemson -3.5 means you are giving LSU 3.5 points to their total. If Clemson wins by 3 and you bet LSU you won because Clemson didn’t cover the 3.5 point spread.

Then you aren’t very smart. Clemson lost to Louisville and South Carolina at home last year. They beat Virginia and NC State at home by 17 or less.

Sorry just not a gambler at all. I could never put money on LSU games, I already can't eat during them I'm so stressed out

But to explain, what you wins depends on odds. If you bet $100 on LSU to cover at say -110, you’d win around $90. The odds example of -110 means that you bet $110 to make $100. Conversely, if odds are say + 110 you’d win $110 off your $100 bet. Hope that helps.

I’m hoping we can play a season starter under Kelly, ready to play, but just feel the Offense won’t be ready. I expect lots of yelling and talks of fixing things after the loss, and that talks of the defense being improved to keep the fan base strung along and still hopeful of a playoff chance…. Hopefully I’m way wrong, but just has that feel…
