Great, hopefully the entire East Carroll Parish/Lake Providence government will be the next ones behind bars just like the two previous sheriffs there.

There's no reason a town that small should even be incorporated and have its own police department. Same for Lockport up the road. The parish sheriff should be taking care of that.

I was ticketed there about 30 years ago. The cop was hidden less than a hundred yards from the city limit sign headed south and nailed me as I sped up. The grandfather of all speed traps.
They insisted that they keep my license until they got cash for the ticket. I didn't have that much cash and they weren't taking credit cards.
They pointed out that I could go down to the bank and see if they'd cash a check for me but I feared it was an entrapment with no physical license so I walked to the bank not far away.
I don't remember the exact sequence of things and how I proved who I said I was but do remember coming back to pay it and a copy of the ticket was stapled to my license. You could feel the staple hole in it.
I wish nothing good for that town.
