Why are some republicans so against people using snap?

My nana lives by herself and gets herself a whole chicken for 7.99 at Whole Foods using snap - that whole chicken lasts her 3-4 days worth of food and she also will get herself a cake from the frozen isle once in a while for her birthday -
-Frozen Lasagna
Mac and Cheese
Meatloaf frozen dinner
Avocado Tuna Maki
Whole Chicken roasted
-Whole Pizza (365)
Bananas
Peanut Butter
Milk
Yogurt Bowls
Oatmeal
Bagels
What’s so wrong with that? Shes frugal as she can be on snap!

Why doesn't you nana work? Is she lazy? Was she not responsible enough to save for retirement?
Did she marry some irresponsible chump who failed to take care of her in retirement?
Why should she get any please off the tax payers dime? If it was her money it's her choice but since we're paying to feed her she should be at least a little miserable or she might take advantage of someone.

Nobody cares about Granny and her SNAP and she likely won’t be impacted. I have personally seen a huge morbidly lady with two shopping carts full of absolute crap whip out her EBT card. My thought was dear lord I am paying for her food, her healthcare that diet impacts greatly and likely her children same issues since she isn’t teaching them better.

I bet those some Republicans are very small number.
I bet the vast majority of Republicans aren't against it but they would prefer that it be limited to certain purchases and not be wasteful of taxpayer money.

Limiting choice and removing options she might like would most likely be frustrating at certain point. I know if I had a craving for something and couldn't get it it would frustrate me or "make me a little miserable" to not be able to achieve it. Maybe it will motivate granny to contribute though

Tell her to go to wal mart or someplace cheaper than Whole Foods and maybe get more for her (other people’s) money. Maybe she can get some little debra zebra cakes that would be cheaper than a birthday cake that her family won’t buy for her to celebrate her birthday. Just some ideas to help dear old granny.
