Anyone getting sticker shock from Clemson ticket prices?

I was thinking about driving down to see the Clemson game but the prices are outrageous. Single seat in the nosebleeds, practically last row in the upper deck is running $341. If you want to actually be able to see the game action it's pushing $500-600.

Any strategies to grab a better seat outside of StubHub and the usual suspects? I don't want to drive 8 hours in the hopes of getting a last minute scalped ticket that may or may not be a scam.

Upper deck tickets from LSU were $270 each. Prices were set by clemson. $340 for upper deck tickets isn't much markup for sellers when you consider ticket fees the resellers charge.

Wait until the game gets closer. Tickets will drop some. Happens every damn time.

My wife went to see Taylor swift so no tickets seem expensive anymore.

It's month out from the game, which is probably the worst time to buy tickets for a big game. Either buy them early or buy them late.

Damn, that's outrageous. But yeah, I guess I'll watch from home. When you add a hotel, meals, gas plus $350-500 for a ticket, that's a grand for a game. I might do that for a playoff or SEC championship game but not for a regular season one.

Didn’t really drop for #6 LSU @ #9 Texas in 2019 and that was 100k stadium.

Clemson set the price this way and offered only 500 lower bowl seats. I have 4 in the uppers, and actual cost is $262 per ticket. I sure hope our admin office repays them for this next year

I live in Atlanta & I was going to just grab a ticket and drive up & back same day. But on principle alone, I am not going to spend $300-600 on a ticket. Especially after going to Vegas last year to watch us lay an egg.

If prices fall below $150, I'll consider it, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, there are some games where the price just isn’t going to drop much. This is one of those. High anticipation game, 1st game of the season, “smaller” stadium, limited visitor seats, high home team excitement for the game… there isn’t much that will drive the cost for this ticket down.

My son and I are going. We're paying $790 apiece for the 35 yard line on the Clemson side about 45 rows up.

It's pricey, but we have the idea that if the seats aren't between the 30s and aren't halfway up or lower, TV is the way better option.

The atmosphere at these big time college games is unbeatable, but you gotta have good seats.

Doubtful as it’s not a neutral site game

Not 2019 SEC Championship. Tried that method. Remain $400 the entire time.

No, because I don’t pay any attention to such lunacy prices that I would never subject myself to spend in any sports game insanity.

Wait until just before kickoff to grab your tickets on StubHub. About 30 minutes before the game starts, prices usually nosedive as sellers panic to unload them. Scoop them up then, and you can thank me later.

I know some people who did that in Vegas, they ended up not getting anything bc the few remaining tickets skyrocketed.

This really isn't a thing for big time football games

Prices have gotten obscene.
So much for the average middle class BAW bringing his family to competitive games.

Wait until about a hour before kickoff and buy them off Seatgeek. Works everytime. Prices drop dramatically the last few hours.
