I live in Atlanta & I was going to just grab a ticket and drive up & back same day. But on principle alone, I am not going to spend $300-600 on a ticket. Especially after going to Vegas last year to watch us lay an egg.

If prices fall below $150, I'll consider it, but I'm not holding my breath.
Just bought mine as well
Thanks for the heads up. Just checked & found that I got all the tickets that I requested as well

You bringing your luggage to the game? What a clown flight bro.

I was waiting for someone to bring this up. Unless you are travelling with NOTHING, you have to add at least 30-60 minutes to get your luggage. There is not a bag check anywhere around the stadium, so you will have to leave your stuff at a hotel & to get from MBS to a hotel & then to MARTA is going to take you at least 30-60 minutes.

The real answer is to change your flight because you will not make it unless you leave at kickoff.
I looked all over, including on LSU Sports, and cannot find out when they plan to announce allocations for season ticket holders who requested SECCG tickets. Anyone heard anything from the ticket office?

The East Upper is the only section that’s truly separate. You can get everywhere else in the stadium.

How exactly can you get from the Southeast endzone (lower bowl) to the north endzone without jumping over the gold railing between the bleachers & chairbacks or without leaving the stadium?
What harm does a call to Sexton do?

"Hey Jimmy, we have a vacancy in BR. Any chance Miss Terry would be interested in coming home?"

"Well Joe, I'm not going to lie, she has always been in love with Baton Rouge & never really liked Alabama other than it being closer to the lake house. I'll see what she says."

"Thanks Jimmy. Hey, let me know if you still have Jimbo's number. I'd call Candi, but I doubt she's forwarding on any messages to him these days."

"Haha...probably not. Bitches man. Bitches!"
Pretty sure you completely misread my post. Last year athletics sent a $13M+ payment to academics to cover tuition payments for athletes. After that, there was a $7M+ payment made as part of an academic support program. Athletics sent an extra $3M on top of that, so $10M in non-tuition related athletic money went to the general fund.

My point was to say that athletics cutting that money to academics is short sighted because without the school, the sports cannot exist. Only one can survive without the other.

And to complain about the salary of a HC vs a professor of English is about as useful as pissing in the wind. Yeah, it's infuriating, but it's not exclusive to Baton Rouge either.

If Skip was still the AD, he wouldn't give him a raise.
On second thought, I think Saban is forced out at the end of the year just so Bama can zero in on LSU's top candidates & outbid us for them. It's the ultimate "frick you" from Tuscaloosa.

Alleva fired Miles from behind the picket fence on the grassy knoll.

I would go for it if the AD would stop the insanity of giving money to LSU's general fund.

The bulk of that money sent to the academic side is to pay for the scholarships that all the players (in all sports) get. Yes, in several years past, there has been a transfer above & beyond, but the AD is not fully funding the academic side of the school any more than the parent of little Johnny Freshman is by paying his tuition.

But remember that without the school, there are no sports. So while you can see it as extortion on the part of the legislature, it's effective extortion because if the school closes, LSU sports disappear.
Saban couldn't give a wet fart about what LSU did with Les Miles outside of Jimmy Sexton using the possibility of LSU wanting him back to try & squeeze another $1M out of the Bama boosters.
The boosters wanted Miles out. They will (and should) fund the full buyout, so the AD should not have to finance that. The salary of a new HC will be more than what we were paying Miles, but I would guess that the support salaries will also go down. Miles overpayed his staff for what we got. Despite the precedent, all those contracts are null & void thanks to the Les clause in them & will need to be renegotiated.

Are price increases coming? Probably. Will they be prohibitive? Doubtful. No one who is paying for season tickets today will see the increase come in for 2017 & say "I can't afford THAT!" and drop their tickets. Will they bitch? Yes. Will they bail out? No.

I sold my tickets for full face value before the season even started.

I know this is a wildly unpopular opinion, but I think a requirement to be in the playoff is that you have to win your conference. How can you say that you are the best team in the country when you aren't even the best team in your conference?

Yes, the SEC is a better conference top to bottom than the ACC, Big 12, Big 10, Pac 12, etc, but that doesn't mean that the playoffs should be stacked with our silver & bronze medalists.

End of Story.
I'm not losing a wink of sleep over that.

If this is true, no way Fla St gets left out. The only undefeated's we have hope jumping are Ohio State and Louisville. Ohio State isn't even a given IMO. Now you're talking about having 4 other undefeated teams? No way. We'd be Sugar Bowl bound.
