Can somebody explain the burning bags to me?

Obvious question is why didn’t they burn them?
Can they be that stupid and incompetent evil bastids?
Did a scared patriot leave them there on purpose?
And don’t we have our hands on that big government computer that knows everything?
I’m not smart enough to figure this out

I'm guessing hubris and leverage.

Maybe they thought that the bags would not be found.
They were supposed to be in a secret room.
And maybe someone WAS supposed to burn them but didn't.
The federal government is a monument to inefficiency.

The fact that they were "found in a secret room" means they're going to retcon this whole thing. That 2 page statement that came out saying there was no client list and Epstein died by suicide ended up causing a frick ton more trouble than I think the admin expected. They thought that by saying it, everyone would just move on. Instead, the complete opposite happened.
By finding these, they're able to work their way back from that insulting statement and suddenly find more meat on the bone.

They never thought Trump would be back in office and got sloppy.
They figured they could put him in jail, murder him or have their propaganda media machine push whomever they appointed to victory.

That seems possible. It just smells like bullshite to me that they stumbled upon bags full of secretive detailed documents that were slated to be burned but somehow hadn’t yet. They had 4 years to burn this incriminating evidence but just forgot about them?

Stashed them in a hurry, then forgot about them.

Here is what I heard from a guy on a podcast that is in the know. I think it was Mike Benz explaining it, but don't hold it to me....
This evidence was waiting to be destroyed. Unwanted evidence has to be entered into an evidence bag (Burn Bag) and each bag has to get assigned a special tracking number, checked in, etc before it gets destroyed.
After all of the Burn Bags were issued their Burn Bag Numbers, inventoried, etc, it goes into a waiting room to be destroyed after a certain amount of days/weeks/months, etc - when the date came up for the evidence (burn bags) to be destroyed, a group of people inside of the FBI (or wherever the burn bags were located at the time) knew that this was bullshite to burn this evidence so they relocated all of the burn bags into a room where they hid all of the burn bags.
Everybody "assumed" that the evidence was destroyed because it was scheduled to be destroyed on a certain date, but since the good guys in the FBI knew it was wrong to destroy that evidence, nothing got destroyed because they moved the evidence to another location in the building instead of actually destroying the evidence.

Well obviously they were controlled by the Democrats and for obvious reasons, they were not allowed to play with fire! :

From what I’ve been reading, this is the answer. Additionally, whoever did it is now an anonymous whistleblower and lead Patel to the cache.

Very reassuring if true. Those patriots put their arse on the line to do the right thing.

when he was explaining it on the podcast, it kind was fascinating picturing the FBI agents frantically moving all of the burn bags to a different location (knowing where cameras were located in the building, etc) - it was a pretty cool story.

“but since the good guys in the FBI knew it was wrong to destroy that evidence,”
“nothing got destroyed because they moved the evidence to another location in the building instead of actually destroying the evidence.”
I hope this is true.
But the “good guys” should be standing in line as whistle blowers now.

I'm guessing that Kash himself put them there for safe keeping or maybe an insurance policy in the future.

Our government is 2 things: arrogant and stupid. That’s a bad combination.
