Thoughts on Mom Prom

This is a funny read and not the Babylon Bee. At least SWLA men will have the night to themselves.
Mom Prom
SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - Three Southwest Louisiana mothers are putting on a special event for other moms giving them a night all to themselves.
Mothers are always busy with their children, work and husbands on a day to day basis and rarely get the breaks they deserve.
But three moms want to give other Southwest Louisiana mothers a night away from it all with a special Mom Prom night.
“It actually started off as a joke. I shared a post on Facebook and my friend Samantha commented on it and was like we should really do this. I texted my other friend Amber and was like are you down and she said yes,” said co-founder Maygan Trahan.
This year will be the second time the ladies hosted Mom Prom and the attendance will be doubled with more than 500 ladies expected.
The theme this year is masquerade, symbolizing Mardi Gras celebrations.
“So, first year we did casual and formal wear to set the tone. This year we left it up to actually all the women in the group to pick the theme. We did a poll with different themes and we let them vote and ultimately the masquerade won,” said co-founder Amber Hamilton.
The Mom Prom rules are no men are allowed, for ages 21 and older, but even if you are not a mom you can still come out to enjoy the night.
“You don’t necessarily have to be a mom to need a break. Sometimes life is chaotic in general. Life is life-ing for a lot of people,” said Hamilton
The decorations for this year is by Decor by Dakota and food will be catered by Red Cardinal in Iowa.
“I wish I had something like this when I was a young mom and kind of struggling with where my place was in the world and reestablishing myself as a human not just as a mom and a wife and a worker. It really gives us a safe environment, a fun environment just to be ourselves and cut up,” said co-founder Samantha Bushnell.
The funds from the event will be used for next year’s Mom Prom through their nonprofit Mom Prom Southwest Louisiana.

Reminds me of this woman Paige who trashes her husband online for everything. She is complaining about how lazy he is and he is an electrical lineman working like 60+ hours a week. She makes him wash his own clothes, cook his own food, pack his own lunch, etc. plus he gets the added benefit of being humiliated by his wife in front of millions.
