Who's your favorite LSU football player that wasn't a 4 or 5 star player?

I have to go with Jacob Hester, who is one of my favorite players to ever don an LSU jersey. Two-star player that was the last player to sign in his recruiting class and the lowest ranked player to sign with LSU that season.

Dude is now a legend and a testament that hard work and determination can take you a long way on the football field and in life!

Tyrann Mathieu

He wasn’t a four star for a while, but I believe he was before signing day. If not, that would be my choice.

I think Mo Claiborne was a three star. Dalton Hilliard was not highly rated, though that might have been before star ratings.

ETA: Forgot about Justin Jefferson.

Definitely Hester. Don't remember eric martin's ranking but if he was a 3 star he was a 5 star when he left LSU.

All the names in this thread are great. I would add Foster Moreau our only TE in the league.

These are all great picks so I have to go with 2 star Josh Williams, walk-on.

Matt Mauck should be on this list.

Dude was part of the foundation we have now.

*Especially since he wasn’t a traditional football recruit and was seen as a baseball player prospect.
I don’t even think he had a rating attached to him because of this.
