Breitbart
"The May estimate was revised down by 125,000 to just 19,000. The June estimate was revised down by 133,000 to 14,000. Combined, these revisions subtract 258,000 jobs from the earlier estimates."
These are some heavy revisions down for previous months.
Trump has made Powell the bad guy, but he seems more like a scapegoat at this point. Trump needs to find some easy wins to get this economy moving in a big way. Lowering interest rates would be a temporary fix as it would most likely increase inflation in the long run.
I think he should start pointing fingers at the real problem... The huge national debt. Get on the warpath about spending instead of passing bills that add trillions. Get Congress to pass a budget.

Those are HUGE revisions... how does that happen?!?
Not only are they huge, but the revisions are quick.. smells fishy.

Is this a case of Never Trumpers and anti-MAGA who don't like the numbers so they make up new ones?

if you're so worried about the debt then it's time to reintroduce the concept of paying income tax to the 63% of american's that pay none, how much can we put you up for?

I'm a Trump supporter but on debt and domestic issues, he spends. I can like the guy and disagree with his tactics on a few things. He outwardly supports gutting the budget, but even if that's accurate, he has all of the lifelong politicians to battle that seem hellbent on continuing the drunken sailor spending.

Look back at Biden’s fiction. Huge adjustments. The reporting Agency needs a good house cleaning, along with the Fed.

My household income is over 300k. Believe me, I already pay my fair share.

One might even say its not the silver lining, its the ONLY lining. . . That’s relevant.

Exactly. The headline number is meaningless. You have to dig down and look at things like this. During the Biden years almost all the “gains” were illegal alien jobs. Jobs for native workers declined. Trump is reversing that. And for all those panicking: This is what I voted for.

Cool. But he makes more than he spends.. gov was in the black in June and tarriffs more than make up for spending. Plus his spending is on ICE which is sorely needed

True. You can not tax your way out of debt.
Cuts from DOGE need to be codified. All foreign nonsense in USAID stopped.
Most importantly, Powell needs to cut rates yesterday

Were you complaining about that shite poor economy last administration?
You should read the article.
quote:
“My final reason to favor a cut now is that while the labor market looks fine on the surface, once we account for expected data revisions, private-sector payroll growth is near stall speed, and other data suggest that the downside risks to the labor market have increased. With underlying inflation near target and the upside risks to inflation limited, we should not wait until the labor market deteriorates before we cut the policy rate,” Waller said.

Rough numbers Jan-June
Biden
American born plus roughly 1,000,000
Foreign born plus roughtly 1,000,000
Trump
American born plus 2,000,000
Foreign born minus over 500,000
He is adding over 300,000 American jobs a month
As deportations pick up, its no wonder the overall gains are decreasing, you have a lot of "foreign" workers losing jobs.
