Cruise control set at 80. Cars were passing me. Foot not on the pedal. Cop pulls me over and I get a ticket. Anyway to prove I was going 80?

Sleep with the cops wife and have her tell him your real speed.

If you're going to use this strategy, you might as well say 55.

Call the DA and explain your situation. You were still likely speeding so if the DA isn't an a-hole they can move it down to a non-moving violation if you agree to pay for a lesser fine on time.
ETA: this is a good reminder to everyone to not speed at all on the 31st day of any month

Pretend it was your twin brother driving instead of you

Go to court and they have to provide evidence that you were going 98

I know Google maps gives you your gps speed. Idk if it records.

Pay the ticket, serve the time

Where did this happen? That makes a difference as to whether you can get out of this entirely or if they’ll shake you down.
If it’s a big city like Baton Rouge, you can pretty easily get yourself out because they don’t care about ticket revenue.

You are lucky the cop didn't cite you for reckless driving and take your arse to jail.
Some states that speed triggers automatic jail time.

So you admit to speeding, just disputing the speed clocked.
Depending where you were ticketed, find out what the fine is for the speed.
Some areas had a simple general speed law. You speed, the fine is $xxx.
Others have speed ranges that determine the fine.
Do research first before entering into a fight in court.
Maybe a call / visit to DA office can get you the opportunity to pay the lower amount.

Your own testimony and anyone else that was in the car with you. Got a dash cam to show cars were passing you going fast? Got some sort of tracker on your car to compute speed? Distance / time

Call the DA or city attorney and ask to have it dropped to a non moving violation and pay the fine.

If you drive a relatively new car, you could have the black box data read, but that's going to cost you more than the ticket.
