MSY Arrival Nazis

Anyone else run into the "parking attendants" screaming at you that "you can't park here" when pulling up to arrivals even though I haven't even put the vehicle in park? Picked up one of our engineers who flew in for a meeting who was at the side walk with bags in hand today and was getting screamed at as soon as I pulled to the curb. Mind you, in the correct location for pick up, not blocking the street or even taxis.
How the hell is this place going to operate with 30 more gates?

If I am picking someone up at the airport, I ask if they checked bags, if they say no- I pick they up at the top ramp (departures) makes it really easy.

Had this issue with a parking attendant harassing my family member picking me up recently immediately upon stopping in the arrivals areas. It was way too aggressive and out of control.
Three has to be some form of happy medium between just hanging out for half an hour in the arrivals area and what is going on now.
I wonder if someone told that attendant to frick off what would happen.

Not anymore because I always pickup people (or get picked up) on the upper level marked for departures.
The ground floor at MSY is the main reason I will opt to park in the economy lot every time if short term is not available.

Even with checked bags the elevator is an easy ride up and it's right next to baggage claim.

If they can't determine who has been sitting for 30 mins by the lake their AC has left and who just pulled up seconds ago maybe TSA is more their style.

I've noticed, I picked up my wife from the airport last week, it wasn't crowded at all. I get stopped at one of the crosswalks, and this beast of a lady is holding the stop sign. After waiting until pedestrians passed, she looks at me and starts turning her stop sign; I'm just doing orbits because my wife is waiting for her bag, so I don't gun it. Before this chick even has the stop sign all the way turned, she points at me and screams, "GET THE FK OUT THE STREET, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!" I looked out my side window and realized she was talking to me and busted out in laughter. Passed her few more times and she was screaming at everyone.

Is that a joke? There is not enough room in the long term parking decks now. It’s gotten to the point where it’s straight to short term and pay more for the duration

Just go to short term and pick them up. Free parking for an hour and you dont frickup the departures gate.
