Anyone got a brand they prefer? Looking for something comparable to LMNT but would prefer a bulk can vs packets and ideally cheaper.

Have you considered making your own? There are recipes online that tell you how much sodium, magnesium, potassium, and so on, to mix in water. It's probably cheaper than any premade mixture if you don't mind DIYing it

That’s always an option but I’m willing to pay for something pre-mixed to not fool with different bags and weighing things out. I understand this is mostly salt and I’m not stressing over exact ratios but figured someone here would have a go-to brand that tastes decent, includes the basics, and doesn’t break the bank.

Redmonds Relyte electrolytes - variety of flavors and mixes well. Not quite as high sodium as LMNT.

I have tried them all (my work supplies them for our field employees), and LMNT is by far the best and most requested.

Fire Salt is probably the 2nd most popular.

Drip Drop and Waterboy were not well received.

Won’t use them since they lied about their ingredients

Zym is what I use. It is a tube with 10 tablets that dissolve like an alka seltzer. Good flavors and ingredients.

They use maltodextrin in the product, but labeling allows companies to classify that as natural flavors. Some people have an insulin response to it like other sweeteners, so people were pissed about their marketing it as no sugar and not including maltodexttin on the label.

I use lmnt. Haven’t found anything as good for less yet.

They said there was no maltodextrin in their formula, then they got caught and said there was a little, but in reality there’s a good bit.

I really don’t even care about the artificial flavors but straight up lying and then doubling down on it is fricked up

Used LMNT, and tried a few others. LMNT is probably the best but we are happy with picking up a 30 pack of Liquid IV when on sale at Costco.

Gotcha, if they’ll lie about that then they’ll probably lie about the other ingredients or at least the form they’re in, potentially making it a $40 box of table salt with some fillers.

Man. I was hoping someone would just drop a link to the Kirkland brand of flavored salt in a tub, but I guess that doesn’t exist.

I used to use “Dr. Berg Zero Sugar Hydration Keto Electrolyte Powder - Enhanced w/ 1000 mg of Potassium“ that I bought from Amazon. It’s lower in sodium than LMNT but double many other ingredients. The problem is, it makes me have to piss shortly after drinking it. LMNT is easier on my bladder. For that reason, I mostly use LMNT. The Dr Berg tasted great but did not dissolve well, even if the water was room temp.

Just my experience - YMMV.

Saw that looking earlier on Amazon.

It would 100% be on the way to my house if it wasn’t a 3.5 lb bucket.

Costco.

I ditched LMNT a few years ago and have been using TruLabs Hydrate from Costco. No sugar mixes well and taste is good.

Nuun is cheapest I've found. It's in tablet form and kind of fizzy like alka seltzer.

Just Live
Lower sugar content than Liquid IV, natural ingredients and has a good flavor.
